SERIAL #67833 MFG 1914
SHIP DATE 3-26-1914, 1 OF 1094 PIECES SHIPPED TO ADJUTANT GENERAL, STATE OF NEW YORK, NEW YORK CITY.
This is a 1914 Colt 1911. Very early. It is 100% correct and original. Very rare for one of these to survive for 101 years with all correct and original parts. These were put away for a LONG time! Again, this comes from the same collection of 1911's that I bought. This one was wrapped in a towel and put in a trunk along with 5 others. The holster survived somehow. The gun and towel were covered in a heavy oil, which pitted the end of the slide and stained the bottom of the holster. The holster is an original Rock Island Arsenal Model 1912, dated 1912 and is in VERY nice shape. I always try to list anything I am selling on here first. I am asking $2750 shipped for the 1911 and holster. Insurance extra. The first absolute "I'll take it" followed by a PM or email ( email@example.com ) gets it. Must go to a C&R or Type 01 FFL. I have a C&R and if your dealer will not accept from me, them add $30 for my FFL to transfer and ship.

SHIP DATE 3-21-1917, 1 OF 800 PIECES SHIPPED TO ORDNANCE OFFICER, MILITARY TRAINING CAMP, MADISON BARRACKS, SACKETS HARBOR, NEW YORK
Here is some history on Madison Barracks: http://www.madisonbarracks.com/about.html
This pistol was in a holster wrapped in a towel until found a few years ago. Hence the finish issues. Still a beautiful 100% original and correct pre "Black Army" 1911. If you follow 1911's, you will know that the Colt brush blued pistols with the inspector marks are very hot right now. similar condition pistols are bringing upwards of $3,000 on Gunbroker. I have been following the prices for several months and watching them skyrocket. As I like to offer anything I have to sell here first, I am offering this pistol here for $2350 shipped. Insurance extra. This must go to another C&R license (I have one also) or a Type 01 FFL. If your dealer will not accept from my license then add $30 extra for my FFL to ship it. The first absolute "I'll take it" followed by a PM or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) gets it.

SERIAL #259155 - MFG 1918
SHIPPED DATE - MARCH 27, 1918
SHIPPED TO - 1 OF 3,900 PISTOLS SENT TO COMMANDING OFFICER, SPRINGFIELD ARMORY.
Not sure if this is refinished or just was cleaned chemically and it altered the finish. Anyway, this Colt is a pre "Black Army" and is all correct and original EXCEPT the grips which I believe are repros( too thick to be originals). The pre "Black Army", Colt brush blue pistols with inspector cartouches are reall hot right now. These are very hard to find. I have been watching the prices skyrocket on Gunbroker and parts alone are in the stratosphere, with on example of this barrel going for $1,000 on Ebay a few weeks ago. I am listing this here first for $1675 shipped. Insurance extra. The first absolute "I'll take it" followed by a PM or email ( email@example.com ) gets it. Must go to a C&R or Type 01 FFL. I have a C&R and if your dealer will not accept from me, them add $30 for my FFL to transfer and ship.
