If you are on Facebook there is a Grand Power Stribog Owners and Enthusiasts group that the owner of gun zone posts on pretty frequently. I would post asking if anybody has the phone number for gunzone because you haven’t received your order. He seems very quick to respond on there. Edit: ordered as part of the first batch when they became avail. Want to say it was around the 20th of July give or take. Had it within a few days. |

| Anybody with hollow point feeding problems try polishing their feed ramp/chamber opening? Saw a thread on reddit where the owner sent his gun in and Global Ordnance polished his up and he is now reporting total reliability with hollow points (with stock mags anyway, he was having issues with his colt mags). I might give this a try but was wondering if anybody had any input. Worthwhile endeavor or is there another area causing the issues? |

Ran my finger down the feed ramp and could feel enough resistance for me to give it a whirl. Will be interesting to see if the same 124gr golden sabers I had failures with now suddenly feed reliably. Hopefully will get a chance to hit the range sometime this week.

Installed a lower power recoil spring yesterday after getting one from Grand Power as the existing recoil spring in my SP9A1 G2 came with a very heavy spring. For any of those interested the instructions to remove and replace the existing recoil spring are as follows: 1.) Once the recoil spring is removed from the bolt carrier take the rod end of the spring and compress it down past the end of the retaining clip. 2.) Slide the clip off. It has to slide off sideways (perpendicular to the rod). The clip sits in a notched section of the rod and the clip has a small gap that is used to slip the clip off. 3.) Once the clip is removed, the spring should uncoil and come right off and the rod slides down into the buffer and out the hole in the end. 4.) We used an Allen Key and put the rod on it and pushed it back into the buffer hole and let it sit where it normally does 5.) Place the spring over the rod and compress it until the end of the rod with the notch are exposed 6.) Slip the clip back into the notch perpendicular to the rod That does it. If this information has already been posted sorry to repeat it but thought this might be helpful for anyone needing to replace their recoil spring and hasn't figured out how to do it. |

No failures this time so it definitely seems like a worthwhile mod. With only 15 rounds fired I can't say for certain if it's reliable with defensive ammo but I'm hopeful once I'm able to test it more. |

I believe Safety Harbor Firearms is working on the Glock mag conversation too. |

I posted about the safety breaking when charging on the Stribog owner’s Facebook page. My theory is that it’s a translation error that was meant to say “Do not attempt to move the selector to safe without first charging the weapon.” Because if you do this, it will in fact break. If you simply charge the weapon when the safety is on safe, it’s fine. So I’d bet my firstborn this is a translation error but Jaro has not responded. I have no doubt they replace safety’s but they are most likely broken when someone forces it into safety without first charging it first. |

I'd go 3 lug but the AAC trilug is $200 when you can find one. So it costs too much but you can't even find them. ETA: If I have to buy the ILWT barrel will it work on an A3? |

I picked up the Stribog SP9A3 a couple of weeks ago, finally made it to the range this week. I have put 160 rounds of CCI 115 gr Blazer brass ammo threw it, that was with the two 30 round and a 20 round original magazine and the new 30 round magazine as well with the metal feed ramps. It run flawless, I ran it slow and I ran a mag dump as fast as I could pull the trigger no issues. I have different ammo to try threw it on the next range trip which hopefully will be next week. |

Learned a lesson today. Read an unknown companies terms and conditions before ordering. I tried cancelling my sp9a3 order before UPS picked it up. They wanted to charge me 25% on a $1350 order for a restocking fee Going to take a $100-$200 loss selling it NIB I know it's my fault. I'm pissed! |

It's the same safety mechanism as the AR (more or less, the FCG pocket is slightly wider), but the safety levers are plastic. I still think you'd have to be turbo-tarded --stupid AND strong-- to break the thing trying to force it, but I have no doubt it's possible. It's more a knock on a long known AR design issue than the Stribog, this time. |

For every one guy that gets his gun tuned just how he likes it, 100 more will be stupid and either short cycle their guns or tear rims/pop primers/blow cases, and immediately take to the internet about that "piece of crap Stribog." The market can barely handle adjustable gas blocks. I think a better approach would be an adjustable delay weight; find some way to modify the amount of delay-roller engagement (vs. angle) and that'd provide enough margin to run nearly everything. And you wouldn't need to include it except as an add-on for the portion of people who have issues running funky ammo. Probably wouldn't cover the full gamut of 9mm options, but you wouldn't have to juggle different weights either. |
