Aside GP from just saying "you're doing it wrong" or "you're clearing malfunctions wrong" ??? I am not trying to sound negative towards this gun because I actually really like it but if Im getting something I need it to be functional and reliable. |

Are these +P rated? Any serial number database to check year of manufacture? I have a Gen 2 that I recently acquired, definitely has a strong spring but hasn't had a failure yet. Mags seem iffy and just feel weird to load, especially if rolling over the plastic lips at the top. |

They were responsive to email and sent me new recoil springs no hassle so I’d imagine they could check S/N. You can probably tell somewhat by the guide rod (dual or single). For frame of reference mid 2019 K# serial range for me was dual guide rod. The mags are a weak point for sure. ETA: older models had the 1/8” slot barrel nut. My mid 2019 Bog had this. I think new ones have 1/4” per ILWT barrel removal tool |

I hate it when the customer is the guinea pig and that's what I think about this platform thus far. |

Nope mine has been flawless with FMJ. I have not found HP ammo that it likes yet but I've only tried one so far. That seems to be a problem across all Gens though. I honestly think too much is made out of a case potentially getting stuck behind the bolt. While I would love to see a modification to make it a non issue it IS something that can be mitigated by training. Definitely not ideal but if that's your only gripe with the platform I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker at all. I do think the response from GP could have been better though for the record. |

Agreed on the response, GP should do some experiments with different ammo so it’s better for the US market I just got an A3, I’ll post on it later, seems good so far, won’t be shooting for a while but first thing I notice is how light it is |

I've read some people think it's the magazine and that they are more reliable with colt mags/adapter. I'm a bit skeptical of that, would think it just needs more feed ramp. Wonder if In lead we trust has experimented with that at all with their barrel design. |

This is also a problem not exclusive to the Stribog, so cant really knock it much for that. It seems that most PCCs struggle with at least some HP ammo. It is definitely one of the main reasons I am struggling with deciding on a PCC. |

So I have a SP9A1 Gen2 with a collapsible brace with a tailhook mod 1 and a Holosun 407c. I love this pistol. I have put over 2000 rounds through it and only had a couple failure to feeds with some flat nosed hollow points but after a detail strip and cleaning it hasn’t had another malfunction. Literally maybe 5 malfunctions total out of 2000-2500 rounds. So with that being said I really want the roller delayed version. I have been watching this thread since I got my Stribog last year during the Father’s Day sale that came with a free Grand Power handgun from Global. Is it worth it to sell the Stribog SP9A1 with collapsible brace and grab a SP9A3? Are the adapters comparable for the collapsible brace? If I got a folding stock version of the A3 could I just swap the braces? What’s the consensus, is it worth it to switch? |
|
I’ll watch the video. Thanks for the response. But that round count sample size is pretty low. Also Mike @ mrgunsandgear seemed to have some issues. With my SP9A1 being pretty damn reliable, and I trust my life on it reliable; with the brace collapsed it fits in a regular sized back pack I just don’t know if it’s worth switching yet. That’s why I’m wondering if the recoil impulse is really that big of a deal. I own an MP5 clone and other direct blowback PCC’s and the Stribog is my favorite. I just have wanted the A3 for so long. I would buy both but in these economic times I have to make some financial decisions that are somewhat reasonable. |

Not sure how long something like this would last before being damaged either. He notes it was 1.2 inches in length, looks likes 1 1/8 to me He did say in his post that it does not maintain LRBHO. This essentially does the same thing as the JP short stroke system without the extra weight. In that same post someone else with an A1 (two rod system) essentially did the same thing by adding a couple extra buffer pads. He states he made the spacer out of derin (I'm sure that was a typo and he meant Delrin). Delrin is pretty tough stuff so I doubt his spacer would wear out but not sure if that would accelerate buffer wear. If it did, that normally wouldn't be an issue if you were able to get spare parts. I hope GO gets some parts in soon. |

I am keeping my A1 mostly because it is already SBRd and I already thought it was a great gun to shoot. I did purchase an A3 and plan on SBRing that as well. Sadly I have not had time to take the A3 to the range so I cannot provide a personal opinion on the difference between the two just yet. If you can afford to buy the A3 w/o having to sell off the A1, that will give you time to decide. |
| I already have a BRN180-S, along with tons of AR’s and one Sig 516. I also have an MP5 clone. I just really like the Stribog and if the A3 makes it that much better I would totally want to use it. I have shot my A1 enough where I trust it with my life and love that it fits in a backpack. |

I'm sure there are a lot of people that would rather go this route than re-buy the gun just to have the new bolt. |

No it doesn’t work ETA: not from my personal experience, from what people posted here. Would require significant modification |

| I picked up a good bit of L7A1 ammo recently and asked Jaro on his FB page about the use in the stribog. He replied that the Stribog would love it. He also posted a video of one the handguns they produce firing 1000 rds of L7A1. Pretty impressive to say the least. |

hello Guys, I'm looking for a speed loader for Stribog Mag, and Grand Power can't adviced me any models... and they don't produce speed loader for their stribog. I found this kind of speed loader : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stribog-Magazine-Speed-loader-x15-9mm-FREE-SHIPPING-/352890997187 this one is out of stock : https://www.amazon.com/Stribog-SP9A1-A2-Magazine-Unloader-Speedloader/dp/B07S6H8M4H but the sellers refuse to ship outside the US. It's not part of fire arms, it's not under ITAR rules. That's completely free... but I can't get them in France. I'm not usual to this kind of request, but if someone accept to buy one and send it to France, that's very very great... Let me know by MP. I can pay by paypal and bank transfer all fees. Many thanks, |

I use the ETS C.A.M. Universal Loader for Rifles for my Stribog. I think it works OK, but I'm sure a dedicated Stribog loader would work better. It does have the advantage of working with many other magazine/cartridge combinations though. I find it useful for my AUG and AK magazines https://www.etsgroup.us/ETS-Group-C-A-M-Loader-p/etscam-rifle.htm I also found an Ebay France listing for it: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Elite-Tactical-Systems-C-A-M-Universal-Loader-for-Rifles-NEW-ETSCAM-RIFLE-/173904936818 |

| Decided to call GO and ask about the manual stating that you cant charge the weapon while the safety is engaged and they confirmed that you'll damage the safety mechanism. I asked if it was a common issue and they said yes it very likely that it will happen if you continue to do so. IMO this is grounds for selling the damn thing. What yall think? This weapon shouldn't fail under a very possible method of operation. I think this is a big oversight by Grand Power.... |

This weapon shouldn't fail under a very possible method of operation. I think this is a big oversight by Grand Power.... I currently have an A3 (sold my A1s). It says this in the manual I have which doesn’t distinguish between generations. I took my a look at my Stribog internals and I can’t actually imagine what you will damage by charging it with the safety on though? It’s similar to an AR safety in operation. Also the bolt rides over the hammer a little safety on or off, but I can’t see how this would hurt the safety mechanism. Smarter people may know? I agree with you, it’s procedurally more unsafe to charge the weapon safety off. |

Originally Posted By MAKAK47: That makes no sense, I charge it with safety on all the time, no issues I do too. Referencing what is stated in the manual about not using the charging handle with the safety on. Again, I can’t see a reason why it would be included when I look at the gun in mechanical function. |
