When I get a "new" surplus rifle and get it cleaned up I tend to carry it from room to room with me as if I'm still in the military and must have it within arms reach at all times. I am sane aren't I? there's nothing wrong with taking a nap with an M1 at port arms right? SoS

I do the same. |
I don't think anythings wrong it. Chance favors the prepared and it's better to be a sleeping wolf than a waiting to die without a fight sheep. I sleep with my 92FS in hands reach in various places of choice loaded with 16 9mm EFMJ's. Then spare mags, a tactical CQB LBE rig that runs with the 92FS and a CX4 92 series is in the closet super close. If there not the best choice, than my M1A or PTR with full rigs are just as close and ready to go. This can be a tough world and there's nothing wrong with thinking ahead to deal with it. ![]() ![]()
