Some mighty fine weapons to see here guys, i hope you know how lucky you all are living where you do, some of the weapons on this site are only a dream for us poor brits.
With laws like we have here we'll be lucky if we still have our rifles in the next couple of years. Anyway, it's nice to see som fine ar-15's here on this site i'm just about to buy one myself ( single shot only ) as our laws currently allow. Keep up the good work ! |
And some of us think we have it bad in the U.S.! I really feel sorry for you guys.....
Welcome aboard.
I think it's time for you to move to the former colonies and enjoy freedom. |
Your not wrong, theres talk over here of taking our ruger 10/22's from us because there semi auto, and as for aour pistols , we have to buy long barreled pistols with a 21 inch barrel, and if we decide to shorten the barrel, for every inch we chop of the barrel we have to add a unmovable bar to the back of equal legnth.
Sad but true. |
Even our air rifle can only be 12ft/pd, or they have to go on our firearms licence !!!
You need to start a grass roots movement for getting firearms back into the hands of law-abiding citizens. If Enough people realize it's the criminals doing the harm, not the law abiding citizens, then things can change. Remember, an armed man is a citizen, but a disarmed man is a subject. |

Hey Clayo, Im from England and moved here 7 years ago. I have several ar15's and a growing number of other guns, rifle and pistol.
I have a place in the country with large acerage and can shoot and hunt there in my own back yard. They would have to drag me back to old blity kicking and screaming. Moving to the USA was probaly the best thing I have ever done, exept divorcing my x-wife. Ha Ha. I have two ruger 10/22's and they are like my yard toys. Sorry old chap.........chin up. |

OOPS! You do realize our friend across the Pond is a Subject don't you...The Queen and all that rot...Pip Pip |

Just make sure you pisk the right state! Some states here are almost as bad as the UK for gun restrictions! State Laws (firearms law center) Seven states have enacted laws banning assault weapons: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. Six states ban large-capacity ammunition magazines to one degree or another: California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. Local Laws At least 17 counties, cities and villages in four states currently ban assault weapons to some degree, including: Illinois – Aurora, Chicago, Cicero, Cook County, Niles and Oak Park; Indiana – East Chicago and Gary; New York – Albany, Buffalo, New York City and Rochester; and Ohio – Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Dublin and Toledo. At least 11 cities and villages in three states currently ban large-capacity magazines to some degree, including: Illinois – Aurora, Chicago, Franklin Park, Oak Park and Riverdale; New York – Buffalo, New York and Rochester; and Ohio – Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo Avoid these places like the plague! |

Good friend in Scotland had to "turn over" his Colt Python and Berreta 92 some years back. Found out he could have shipped them to us as his "long lost relatives" in the US, but found this out too late! I send him gun mags every so often to keep his juices flowing.
Travelled to GB many times and love the country and the regular people I've met there. But the gov't is a bit too "controlling" for me.... Truely best wishes from an Anglophile (exept for your gun laws and soc medicine, etc..) Eric SE Michigan |

Wyoming is a good place to live.
Get some land for a good price, build a house and you can hunt/shoot in your back yard :). |
Amen! Come on over. I dont know what it is, but we have a lot of former Brits and Scots in the area I live in and its amazing how quickly they shed any of the baggage from living in a socialist country and become full fledged American patriots. |
Maybe we could do an exchange. We trade Brits like clayo for some of the libral pukes we have over here.
clayo, guys like you are more than welcome to come to the states whenever you please. in fact, guys like us would love to have guys like you. like DR said, if you do come to the U.S., just be careful where you move. too bad all the brits I know really show no interest in firearms or shooting, only soccer and golf.
hey clayo if you ever decide to move to the US. think about Oklahoma, we have ample hunting and shooting areas within 20 miles of all are major cities most even closer, cost of living is one of the cheapest in the US. and we have "cocealed carry and make my day laws" that allow the common citizen to lawfully protect their families and property without fear or persicution from the state.
Hell, just come to Houston and stay, don't worry about all that immigration legal mumbo jumbo, none of the other immigrants do. The bad thing is it gets real hot in the summer.
Come to Mississippi, we already talk funny and it's not as hot as Texas!:)
Stay and fight for your semi auto rimfires first.
I'm serious. Education, education, education. CRC |
They can chit & fall back into it,before i'd ever give up any of my rifles.
Im serious. TG |
I'm guessing if a Brit shows up on Arfcom, talks for a bit, and then ACTUALLY moves to the states, the local Arcommers could get one hell of a welcome wagon set up for em.
Hell, come to PA, you'll love it. Clayo, what part of England are you from? I spent 6 weeks there this summer. - BUCC_Guy |
SSSSHHHHHHHHH dang it, keep it hush hush..... Geez man, the last thing we need is a lot of folk knowing what we have here... |
Come to Idaho and throw your firearms license in the 'loo!: Class 3 state (full auto and similar toys legal), "shall issue" concealed carry permits & the Right To Keep And Bear Arms is protected in the State Constitution.
Tomac |
Yeah but if you come to Texas you get all that and people won't identify you with Potatoes! |
To CLAYO hurry up and get here we can always make room for more patriots...the pursuit of freedom and happiness,,,hell its why are forefathers revolted in the first place,Dont worry you can get earl grey tea here, stamps are pretty reasonable,we still have a bit of a taxation problem but you can gaze at your new AR when you get here while sipping your cup of tea of course....Time to join your brothers in the colonies my good man.
if only it were so easy- unless you are a famous artist or invest 1 Mio. USD, there is no other chance than the green card lottery!
hell man the good ole USA is full of illegals, just do like they do, come over on a student visa and never leave or swim the river. |
Sorry to know you live in a Socialist country.
No revolts for you! |
I will give you an AR15 if you move to the states. Hold me to that! |
Hi CLAYO, the laws over there have always been a load of bollucks and years ago a lot of good people fought long and hard to maintain our gun rights to no avail. Get out and get your arse over here and be free .
Another Brit ex-pat checking in. Came to the US in '98 after the handgun ban... best decision I even made. Living in AZ now and loving it (especially the sunshine). IM if you get the chance to visit.
Sorry, the "Immigrant Diversity" Green Card lottery stopped taking applicants from England in the mid-90s; letting more anglos in didn't contribute to diversity I guess. Of course, the Irish still get in... must be a shortage of those here . If you have a specialist skill/experience (minimum of a bachelors degree with several years in a rare profession) or if you are a qualified nurse, you have a good chance of employment-based immigration... look into it. Otherwise, the best way of getting in is still by marriage . |
Weren't getting enough sun in GBR? I don't think I would ever live there, but it was fun to visit. |
Not really getting enough sun in AZ either... trying to make up for 30+ years of lost time . |
Rains a lot here too. I would like to join you down there, but the parents will pay for Gonzaga in Spokane or UPS in Tacoma, but not for ASU And I don't want student loans. |
Dude, get the loans. Where else can you get a great tan AND shoot against Rob Leatham every week ? |
The correct spelling is "bollocks" (or "bollox" if you were a 70's punk). I figured you don't have this in your spellchecker. |
I can't pass up a free thing ETA: I will be living there, with them paying tution, inside of two years, if I play my cards right. |
Say hi to Vito113 while you're still over there... |
Thanx for all the good words guys.
Cant see me getting out of this hell hole for a bit yet, but im a single man with no ties here so i dont see why i should stay here and put up with all these laws and taxes, plus i will be holding COMBAT_JACK to his word if i get there "I will give you an AR15 if you move to the states. Hold me to that!". But for now just keep posting those fine pics of your weapons, that should keep me going for now ! Cheers again guys clayo P.S. i'm from Liverpool England. |
Yes. you are right. I pre-date the '70s punk era and just a lousy keyboard operator.
What part of the Isles are you from ?. |
London |
What are the rimfire rifle laws like and is it true they want to ban them now?
Thanks CRC |
Room for you here in Sunny Florida. good laws here not to stricked on anything like Kalifornia has.
It don't cost shit to enlist - and we'll even pay YOU! |
Well you can own a replica of that gun come 9/14/04, as long as you comply with the NFA. CRC |
Hello again guys

I'd much rather have the Irish come over than the bunch of smelly turban heads currently moving into NJ. |
