checkout BravoCompanyUSA. When I get the funds to build my rifle, I will be using an LMT M4 profile upper 16" ($615 shipped)

I did the piece-by-piece route and should've purchased all of the components at the same time.

$450 for the LMT 16" upper w/charging handle
$124 for the LMT BUIS
$130 for the LMT bolt/carrier group

I decided to go completely LMT for my upper assembly.

My original bolt/carrier group was purchased as a "mil-spec" special from Fulton Armory.  I wasn't sure if the bolt was proof load tested and magnetic particle inspected.  I couldn't find a complete Colt bolt/carrier assembly so I went with the LMT.

SURELY you can find an upper cheaper than that here on the board hr

BravoCompany has one with chrome lined bolt carrier group and charging handle for $615 shipped plus right now I think they have a special where you get a free set of M4 handguards.

LMT standard bolt in standard carrier: $130
LMT enhanced bolt in standard carrier: $225
Arbitrary set of M4 handguards: $30
LMT fixed rear sight: $120

A standard LMT carbine without rear sight: $975
A standard LMT carbine with LMT rear sight: $1095

LMT 16" upper $485
LMT Std bolt carrier $125
LMT BUIS (used) $95
RRA Lower $108
RRA LPK $48
RRA M4 handguards $18

total $979, so more than a Bushmaster, yet generally a little less than a Colt,

I'm very pleased with how it turned out, now i need some LMT mags for kicks & giggles.
