I finally picked up my rifle and some SA surplus ammo last night, i'm just curious if there is anything I should know or look out for.  I plan to shoot it tomorrow at the range (I can't wait!have

You are smart to get a crowned muzzle rather than a muzzle brake which throws blast at your range neighbors.

I have a collapsable stock and found that a ten dollar slip on rubber butt pad made the rifle fit the shoulder pocket without slipping much better than the smooth plastic.  Although I think if I were you I would have selected an A2 stock rather than an imitation collapsable stock.

I'll just say, go sight it in, and then shoot away. Enjoy. One of mine is exactly like yours. I have made a couple of minor improvements to it and it has been probably the most outstanding AR I have ever owned. You will love it.

Hey Pete

Looks real SWEET !! I noticed your from NJ . I was wondering where you bought it at and where you intend to shoot at ? Lets us know how the brake in goes . I'm sure you looked over the Bushy warranty info. If not don't run Wolf ammo through it you'll void the warranty plus its nasty dirty stuff. I don't know how the bushy cleaning kit is but maybe you can compare with the Otis M-16 AR-15 kit.  Thats a real nice kit . Enjoy it man !!

Thanx Guys!

Jerry, tomorrow i'm going shooting over at Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club www.cjrpc.com/   , it's my first time over there, but the website has some pictures and i've heard the place is impressive.

I purchased it in Brick Armory   www.brickarmory.com  for $880+tax (a little pricey in retrospect), but the people there are helpful, and i prefer to support gun retailers here in Socialist NJ.

Petey, if you want to shoot together, let me know.  I live about 2 miles from Brick Armory.  BTW, the price you paid is VERY fair for NJ.  Just about any Bushie around these parts goes for $1000 plus.  I bought an M4gery for $890 at the PA gun show about a month ago, and was glad to get it at that price.

Advice?  Feed it good ammo, and have fun.  You're welcome to try some of my Swiss that I got from Ammoman.  Also, I second a the recommendation for a good cleaning kit.  The Otis kits are awesome, because for $40 you can clean everything you own, and it packs down to the size of a BigMac.

Congrats Pete.  I'm looking at getting the same Bushy.  Write back with a range report when you get a chance.  By the way, the CJRPC looks very cool.  Love the virtual tour and free printable targets!

Have one myself, dandy little AR. The only advice I have, I imagine you already know. Keep her good and clean and DON'T FORGET YOUR EAR PLUGS!

Hose it down with Gunscrubber then soak it in CLP.  Load, fire, repeat.
