OK, open for opinions here...

Which of the 5.56x45 AK variants would you recommend?

Thanks!

Vepr

Vepr=accurate, takes high caps and is readily available.

Otherwise, Global's AK-101. But its harder to get.

We will have to wait and see on Arsenal's new 5.56 guns.

I had one of the earliest Norincos, and was very unimpressed with the fit/finish. Did they improve as time went on?

Preban Norinco 84S. Grab one if you can. Thicker reciever than European AK's so it feels much sturdier...and accurate as all hell! How accurate? You wouldn't believe me if I said...but it outshoots ALL other AK types I've had...INCLUDING Galil and Valmets! They are gone but I still have my 84S! Not really nice looking to begin with, but parkerized, painted, then all the K-Var stuff added, AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!!

And here I thought were going to say the Sig .

IIRC you can get a kit for the Galil that allows it to use AR magazines?
