Vepr=accurate, takes high caps and is readily available.
Otherwise, Global's AK-101. But its harder to get. We will have to wait and see on Arsenal's new 5.56 guns. Brick |

I had one of the earliest Norincos, and was very unimpressed with the fit/finish. Did they improve as time went on? |

Preban Norinco 84S. Grab one if you can. Thicker reciever than European AK's so it feels much sturdier...and accurate as all hell! How accurate? You wouldn't believe me if I said...but it outshoots ALL other AK types I've had...INCLUDING Galil and Valmets! They are gone but I still have my 84S! Not really nice looking to begin with, but parkerized, painted, then all the K-Var stuff added, AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!!
