I would pay $1600 extra to not have to look at the AI AX chassis  I wonder if Remington will offer the finalized configuration commercially.

Looks like the exact tripod setup I have. Manfrotto MT055 Aluminum Tripod with a Manfrotto 322RC ball head.

It's a Manfrotto 322rc2 ball head on a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. I originally bought it for photography purposes but it doubles nicely as a shooting setup. It's heavy, though--just FYI. The HOG Saddle is really nice but if you don't want to spring the $$$ for the HOG they also make the PIG Saddle--a little less burly but more affordable. My preference is for the HOG (or something similar) over a Picatinny attachment--it's just more versatile. I have the Larue Picatinny tripod mount and it's only good for handguards with a bottom rail (duh). With the HOG any rifle will fit in the clamp, including my Mk12Mod0, with its big round PRI handguard. |

Correct, they need to be fitted and HCS does this. For what it's worth, he's had several on order from KAC for over a year now and they gave him an update (end of December?) that they were "in production." Not sure what that translates to in KAC-time, but at least he's on the radar for them. I'd call Kevin sooner than later for the deposit (and it is refundable FYI).

For the those of you that went with the m110 can on a mk13 mod5 how do you like that set up?
Does the can still need to be fitted to the barrel or does the flash hider take that step out also debating on running a kreiger barrel on the build anyone done this? |
