I received 250 of these from a man who is no longer around, and looking for any information before reloading.
All of the other bullets I received were high-end and I am sure he was a competition shooter. Thanks for any help 140g 1.392 oal .264 diameter .610 from base to ogive

Berger makes 5 140 grain 6.5 mm bullets. Berger Bullet reference chart HERE
I've never seen a long range bullet with a meplat that broad/flat. I'm not convinced it is a Berger but if it is, you might have to do a few more measurements to figure this one out...

Why does it matter which maker they are? Are you planning to sell them? If not load them and shoot them and see how they do.

One other thing is if he was an older shooter it might be a bullet that’s not made anymore either. I have a buddy in his 70s who has things like that. Do the meplats look trimmed? You might try and cut one in half lengthwise also to see the jacket to core look. Good luck finding it. |

What came to my mind from the pictures, the bullet has a frosted, matte finish, indicating a rough surface. Everything I have has a smoother, more shiney surface.
