Berger makes 5 140 grain 6.5 mm bullets. Berger Bullet reference chart HERE
I've never seen a long range bullet with a meplat that broad/flat. I'm not convinced it is a Berger but if it is, you might have to do a few more measurements to figure this one out... |

Why does it matter which maker they are? Are you planning to sell them? If not load them and shoot them and see how they do.

View Quote it matters for a few reasons, you don’t wanna know the identity of the bullet you shoot? no plans of selling them by knowing the identity you have the ability to get more if you like them Also there’s information of expansion or ballistic coefficiency Just to name a few reasons |

One other thing is if he was an older shooter it might be a bullet that’s not made anymore either. I have a buddy in his 70s who has things like that. Do the meplats look trimmed? You might try and cut one in half lengthwise also to see the jacket to core look. Good luck finding it. |

.794 ogive to base on my current 139 Lapua Scenar’s

Never begins it, never, but once engaged never surrenders, showing the fangs of rage.

What came to my mind from the pictures, the bullet has a frosted, matte finish, indicating a rough surface. Everything I have has a smoother, more shiney surface.

Although I still don’t have a quite figured out, I appreciate the replies
