| I called today to order my first complete LaRue rifle (16" PredatAR). I have plenty of other LaRue stuff for my old RRA, but I've been wanting a complete rifle for awhile now. Well, I sent the RRA down the road so I could get the green light from the Mrs. to order a new rifle. I called and spoke with Will and couldn't have had a better experience. Great guy, easy to talk to, and answered all of my questions. Being behind the lines in NY, I had to change my rifle to make it work with our in state AWB. He made the whole call a breeze. Please thank him for me. |

| Okay, one thing that irks me about the rifles you guys make... Ambi-controls, to include bolt release. I love the fact that the M110's have it, and when I spec'd my OBR I set it up pretty similar to how my M110 was ran. I just hate the fact that I can't push a lever with my trigger finger to release the bolt. Add that and it's got everything I want!! |

My new LaRue Tactical handguard is absolutely stunning! The fit and finish is second to NONE! It matches up perfect with my Spikes Tactical Lower and Upper; it actually makes me wish I had gone with LaRue Receivers!
Not only is the handguard perfect, but LaRue Tactical is old school customer service! The shipping was fast, the packaging was perfect, and they threw in some extra goodies! They made me remember I was the customer!

Hi Team LaRue i'm new to the site but so far i have just been reading a lot of great stuff ,This is my first post and sorry if i sound green. ok i have a new stag model 3 std 16"barrel all stock 5.56cal and love it, but being that said if i could only have one more ar to own and be somewhat a top of the line gun better than my stag what you suggest ? I like all the feed back on what larue's are all about, so what would you all do? if you were me, i have a club i'm joiining that has a 100-200 range & a ar-15 leauge that i need to ck out , i would maybe want to shoot in a 3 gun leauge / or maybe shoot long range shots / or have a gun that would shoot 5 shots in a dime size the best moa pobssilbe but keep the price tag under3,000$$ so here what i ask laure OBR 7.62 or OBR 5.56 but i have a stag in that cal, and a 18" or 20" barrel or What Thanks for all your feed back

Honestly, the biggest thing that I have from them are optic mounts and I can't get over how well made THEY are. So my, lackluster advice out of the way...welcome to the site.  |

Ordered my OBR 5.56 and had it a couple of weeks later. Their customer service is awesome. When I got my rifle, it didn’t come with the OBR owner’s hat! I emailed them to ask if they would add one to another order I was waiting on, which they did and did so free of charge. I wasn’t expecting that but it was a great gesture.
They have great products and the OBR is a great rifle. The 416 and SCAR have nothing on it imo. Plus, neither of them come with Dillo Dust. That @#$% is good. |

One more extremely satisfied (REPEAT) customer here. My 16/13.2 Stealth came in this afternoon. Just a little too late for me to ditch work and skip out to the range (but that's UPS' fault, not LT's).
The fit and finish are outstanding! I literally needed a mallet to get the upper to seat into my S&W lower (not to worry, I have plans for a LT lower in the not-so-near-but-not-so-distant future), and once I got it seated, the damned thing became the definition of ROCK SOLID, IMHO... My only question (and I'm not complaining, mind you) is, once the 10-round test fire was complete, how long did it get dunked in the CLP tank before it got packaged up? I'm going to be able to use my gun rag as a lubricating rag for quite some time now, it's almost to the point of dripping...
Oh, and if you folks ever decide to go into the air freshener business, whatever oil it was that you used, that should be the first scent in the line... Go ahead and put me down for a case...

1st LaRue purchase... brown truck of happiness just dropped it off. It wasn't exactly an order that Mark would stake the company's survival on, I mean... index clips, a dillo (I gave my NRA Annual Meeting dillo away - share the love!) and a sling swivel. Cool stuff, to be sure (index clips are my favorite "rail dressing") but not exactly "spendy." However... my order came with more than what I ordered.  Lots of product information too (some stuff I hadn't even heard about yet!) - my next build may have to be more LaRue OEM than I had previously thought possible. Shipping was kooky fast, and very reasonably priced.  I realize that people figure out ways to bitch about LaRue but quite honestly I don't understand why. My order didn't even break $100 but they treated me very well! Customer for life. Even the packing tape is cool! |

Wow, I ordered a troy front sight to mount on my Larue 12.0 tactical rail on Moday at 3:00 pm. On my doorstep at 2:00pm tuesday. Can you say fast ! Its only my 2nd order from you but with the great service there will be more coming your way. Oh yeah I almost forgot, the better half loves the Dillo dust. Thanks again.

| So I ordered a Harris BiPod and LaRue QD mount for it today. I'm over in Afghanistan and when I placed the order, it was 0300 local time at LaRue. Well, it shipped at about 0830 local LaRue time! Holly shit! I've ordered stuff from there before and have always been very pleased with not only the quality, but the fast shipping and great customer service. This time they were in hyperdrive to get this out and into the mail. WOW! Great job once again LaRue. I guarantee I will get more stuff from you real soon! |

So when I took home my care package from Larue last night, my wife tasted the dillo dust. She loved it. She asked how much do they sell for? After telling her it's not something they sell.... she said "Well, I guess you'll have to order there more often..." Ha! Very good sign!!! She was very impressed with all the goodies that came with my order, just as much as I was. Another satisfied customer here, and gained customer for sure. Thanks Larue!!!

Ordered my stuff from the randstad gift cert that i got. I also bought some other stuff, got my box a week or so later. Got my dillo dust and am now happily addicted to dillo dust. The GF asks if I can buy just dillo dust. I said "nope, gotta buy gun parts with it" she advised me to make a few orders for stuff

Hi all, I am a total newbie regarding the AR15 and so I decided to go to the local store to get a lower to build my first rifle ever; the best choice at the store was a POF lower, and it was the most expensive too ; anyway, I finally got it after the mandatory 10 day wait ( I live in San Diego CA), it really sucked that they did not have an LT lower in stock.
Then I tried the uppers they had at the store, and some were really sloppy; and some were ok but still wiggled, even if just a hair, so after doing my homework (at AR15.com of course) I decided to order an LT upper from SKD (LT didn't have the one with the M4 feed ramps cut in stock). Wow, the fit was absolutely perfect, there is no wiggles or floppiness, I am totally impressed with the quality and fit; so much so that it awakened my lust for an OBR, so I started saving for it already. Then I thought to order a couple of 30 round PMags modified for 10 rounds from LT; again, WOW, not only was I impressed with the Magpul quality, and for LT thinking about us slaves in California, but LaRue sent the coolest bottle opener I have ever seen, a couple of really cool bumper stickers, and a bottle of "Dillo Dust"; and most impressive: a copy of the US Constitution; I thought for sure that was a mistake because I didn't order the extra stuff, but it turned out to be a gift; so my "impresiveness" level just kept on climbing. Then I got some more money (I'm disabled with a broken back from an accident at work, long story, longer than this one), and I ordered a Silicon-chrome buffer spring and an extractor upgrade spring pack, and a Magpul Miad pistol grip (I didn't know LT has a new grip, the A-PEG, or I would have bough it); this time they not only send another "dillo" and dillo dust, and bumper stickers, and another US Constitution but they also sent a "10th Annual Sniper Competition" DVD; WOW times three; needless to say my level of "impresiveness" just flew off the chart. This kind of customer appreciation and service is outstanding, in any industry; and this kind of little details are huge in my book so LT has a new customer for life. I really appreciate the US Constitution, I think everyone should have one and read it often. Anyway, thanks for reading, and thank you LaRue Tactical for making this a better country and contributing to my grand children's inheritance; my only regret is that I don't live in Texas. After many of the reviews here, I'm surprised of my experience over the past few days.
I wanted a LaRue PredatAR - at least the upper. I'm in NY, and can't get the fun stuff without going preban. So I call up, CC in hand and ask if they can sell me PredatAR upper. Nope. Can I buy the rifle, and they send the lower separately to my FFL? Nope. Then I spoke with a sales manager, Paul. I offered to pay the full price, they just ship the upper and other parts minus lower to me, or take the lower and throw it in the trashcan. He said he would get back to me the next day. No call, I call the day after. Ask to speak with him, and am on hold for about 40 minutes. When I finally get a hold of him, he's very short and says "he's not going to sell me a rifle" then hangs up on me. Thanks for wasting 40 minutes of my time. My previous experience with LaRue has been good, but the attitude I just got today was not very professional, and surprised me. I may never buy LaRue products again. With my new build, it looks like I'm looking to Noveske or elsewhere now. I paid $780 to get a pre-ban lower, I don't want a nice light barrel to be ruined by welding a brake on it, or pay extra for yet another A2 stock I don't need. Another email sent days ago unanswered. I'm sorry I'm not in the good 'ole free state club, but I have roots here. My family and my job take precedence over my gun hobby,

But see one of his emails below, and J & W's opinion which I thought I simply confirmed. Agree no reason to burn any customer however, I’m afraid I got tired of ways to keep saying no. He is the only NY customer to make this request BTW. “ We can only send NY compliant to NY, if we didn't do it and for some reason his dealer doesn't we would be in the ringer not dealer.“ - (J & W) Also, but mostly, we aren't offering uppers-only ... not saying we won't someday, but we aren't now nor in the near future. As always, we appreciate your past business and hate like hell we made you hate us.

Well, the biggest burn was the rather curt tone and hanging up on me after 20-30 seconds, after waiting 40 minutes. Maybe he didn't know I was waiting on hold for so long. I'd hardly call the second phone call to the manager incessant. I understand we all have bad days, but still annoying to a customer.
J & W is simply incorrect, no one would be in the ringer. I can buy 16" threaded barrels or with flash hiders all day long, they just can't go on a rifle with a receiver manufactured after 94. What's also disappointing is that I thought LaRue was a company in support of gun owners, not the socialist politicians. It is perfectly legal to buy and assemble pre-ban configured parts, as long as it goes on a pre-ban lower receiver. I have pre-ban lowers, and just bought a new one for a new build.
ETA: I may be the first guy in NY to request it, because I am one of the few willing pay full pop for a $1500 rifle, then asking you to toss the billet lower in the trash. Then adding over $800 myself for nothing but the evil features.

Just gonna say I live in NY, and when I called and spoke to Will about ordering a complete PredatAR I had zero problems. He knew exactly what needed to go on the rifle to get it here. The only thing I had to substitute was for an A2 stock and they are going to pin and weld a PWS FCS556. And they'll send me a 10rd mag instead of a 30. No big deal. I asked if I could buy a carbine buffer tube and he said no it just wouldn't look good, and he was exactly right. With all the dirty politicians trying to burn gun dealers and manufacturers they just cant take the chance. I think you trying to skirt the state law 3 different ways was just sending off all kinds of warning bells. You should have just ordered what you wanted and changed out what ever you wanted once you got it. They're not gonna risk their whole company just so you can have a collapsible stock dude.

I wanted almost exactly the PredatAR - the 16" light barrel, flash hider, collapsible CTR stock, magpul grip, right down to OD green too.
I just spent over $800 on a pre-ban complete lower, I didn't do that to have a muzzle brake welded on.
The A2 I could live with, that I could swap out. |

I was saying I want the complete rifle minus the stripped lower, but willing to pay full price, since welding the MB f*cks me as far as changing stuff out. Then it's technically not a gun. Now had I spoke to Will, who said that you they can't do it as it doesn't look good rather than being hung up on, I wouldn't have bothered posting here. THANKS for posting the PWS FCS556. I saw that before, it's listed as a flash suppressing compensator. Since it's also called flash suppressing I thought it wasn't legal in NY. Just because someone else is doing it doesn't mean it's legal - I've seen lots of guys at the range with collapsing stocks on post-ban guns. But I figured after these shenanigans they wouldn't do it for you if it wasn't legal, and lo and behold I find a post abut a BATF letter and find it on their site. |

If you go on the PWS website they have a letter from BATF that clearly states its not a flash suppressor. I plan on keeping a copy in my truck at all times just in case .

Unfortunately we live in NY so we have to deal with our shitty gun laws. Trust me, I didn't want an A2 stock when I had a CTR on my RRA. But in order in to hold a sweet rifle like a PredatAR you've got to give a little. |

I already downloaded the PDF, it does look like a nice brake.
I understand from Mark's post - they only sell the complete rifle, and not parting it out. Had the guy simply told me that, rather than hanging up on me I can understand that. I spoke to him once before. A second phone call is not what I would call "incessantly calling." (Maybe he forgot he never got back to me?) If they are only doing complete rifles, then yes it has to be NY compliant. I'll consider the PredatAR with the PWS compensator brake, if they can cut it down and weld it to 16" overall. If I'm going to be stuck with a welded FH/compensator I may as well have some benefit for it (shortest legal OAL). Then I can swap parts around on my pre-ban stuff. If not, at least they aren't the only game in town with quality AR products. |

Sent in a copy of my ID card and within a half an hour received a confirmation that I was in the system. Placed my order and saw within an hour my order has been packaged and was already shipped! I placed an order from LT thinking it would be cool to get some of that Dillo dust everyone's talking about.
Bah, what am I thinking, a piddling little order like mine, I'll get the two items I ordered and be happy with the price I paid. Nope. A Dillo, Dillo dust, bumper stickers, a DVD and a pocket constitution in addition to my order. On top of all that, it got here fast. I placed my order placed on Tuesday, and received it that Friday. Thanks.

Stuff came in today. In addition to the parts I ordered, I got the standard dillo (matches one I was given couple of years ago. This one goes to my Dad), pocket Constitution, bumper stickers, DVD, Dillo dust (trying it this weekend if I feel up to it) and even got a free hat which will get used at the range.
Again, you guys rock! Service was spot on, items ordered were spot on, time was spot on. Is there anything you can't do? Will be ordering more here soon. Again, you made a customer for life. |

Emailed them over a week ago about a few questions before I put in my order. Did not hear anything yet. Emailed two different employees and still nothing. I want to hurry and place an order on a PredatAR 5.56 before they get even more backed up. I didn't want to post this, but I'm trying all facets right now to reach you guys (except for calling; currently deployed overseas).
