Where did you buy it? Are the stock numbers different on the new 6933 than the old model?
|
|
|
I think to remember that the short barreled "Commandos" used to come with the thinner "CAR-15" style handguards. Now they seem to have the thicker double heat-shild handguards from the M4. Is that true? When was that changed?

Yeah, Colt keeps old pictures around for a long time.
The gun in your picture is also using Alcoa forgings, which Colt hasn't used for quite some time. |

Well my 6933 still hasn't shipped. Order was placed with Lawmen's and Shooters' Supply in November. I was told by the representative at Lawmen's that the best ETA Colt could provide for when my gun would ship is "As soon as possible".

If anyone is waiting for a 6933, I have been told by a reputable source that around 200 of them (including mine) are in queue waiting for Form 3's to clear before transferring to dealers.

NEED MORE PICS!!!
I just ordered one from Clyde's Monday, so it won't even get to my dealer for at least a month. Thinking about picking up a can from my dealer when it arrives, should I go with the surefire 5.56 or 7.62? No .308 guns yet but I see a LE901 in my future whenever they are released... Anyways, how bout some more pics to keep me occupied? |

Put a 6933 on layaway today after finding one for less than 1100. Still has all the LE/Resricted use markings on it. Think I got a deal! :)

Under $1100? That's a great price. I just checked and the website shows out of stock. I would get another one for that price.

Must be nice to live in a gun-friendly State... I'll just have to enjoy my 6933 upper on a pistol lower, and of course no suppressor.
Looks great, btw! Oh, and what mount is that for the flashlight? Originally Posted By bwhited:

Thanks a lot. The light is the SureFire M500A. You can pick them up on the EE a lot of times and they are not bad expensive. It keeps the same feel of the M4 handgards which I like.

Does anyone know where to find a 6933 with the "M4 CARBINE" roll mark?
I can't seem to find anyone that has them in stock. Thanks to everyone for pics!!! |

Well, if you don't mind getting ripped off...
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=285540874 Don't they all have the M4 Carbine roll mark now. |

That would be a last resort, but I'm trying to keep it at or below $1200, especially seeing the prices on the thread in previous pages. I hope you're right, but there are still many out there for sale that have the M4LE roll mark. I really want the M4 carbine, instead! |

I ordered mine almost a year ago and it is the m4le

Mines shipping from cyldes now, took almost exactly a month for the dealer to dealer transfer. Hopefully the rumors of the ATF hiring some temps is true and I can get it in my hand in under 6 months...

It took six months to get approved, but Clyde's Armory called and said that my approved Form 4 has arrived. Now I just have to drive the two hours to get it.

It looks like your top KAC rail is not seated all the way down. Make sure the KAC clamp is under the barrel nut around the gas tube securely. The handguard slip ring should not be bent back touching the upper receiver as in your picture. Feel free to IM me if you need. Thats a beautiful 6933. |

I took it all apart, put the top rail on and I still could not get it to seat around the barrel nut. I made sure the locking arm was not on top but slightly forward of the barrel nut. I took a piece of 5/4" x 5/4" pine and placed it on top of the rear rail and gave it a slight tap with a dead blow hammer and it dropped right into place. Put the screw in, torqued it and put the bottom rail on. Looks good now. I will post pictures when I am able to get back into image shack. For some reason I can't get to my images. |

I have a 6933 upper that will be going on an SBR'd NDS lower as soon as I can get my shit together with the P-Work. This thread has been very inspiring to me, except now I want a full-on 6933 new, with M4 markings! I REALLY need to get my trust set up!
