124 days since I mailed the paperwork, 102 days pending. Getting close. If some of the more recent stamp times are to be believed I have about 60 more days either the last week of November or the first week of December.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Do all the new 6933's have the M4 Carbine/ 5.56mm markings? I thought they only had M4 Carbine and no caliber.

I will be mounting that 6933 upper on my Colt Model 901 M16. It is currently in an A2 configuration from the Colt Factory. I shot it (Colt M16) with a POF 7.25 upper on it and it was a blast. Can't wait to go out shooting with the Colt 6933 and my Colt M16. |

I have a brand new unfired 6933 upper. As soon as my paperwork cleared I shot my lower with a bunch of uppers but never the "original" upper. So anyway at SHOT this year I got a great deal on a Geissele super mod m4 10" rail. I really want to use it, so today I took the upper into the shop fully intending to modify the Colt front sight so it would work with the rail.
I just couldn't do it. I just can't bring myself to cut up that Colt! |

Ordered a used LE demo 6933 back on Dec 12, 2013.
Out of state dealer had them, but sat on the Form 3 for about 2 months. After my dealer got it, and all was said and done, I went pending 0n 6/27. So I figure if I'm lucky, I'll see it in late Jan of 14. |

So, when was the last time you were ambushed by a group of insurgents?

Anyone know how to figure out your manufacture date on 6933? I am looking to get a Geissele super dynamic 3 gun trigger and have no tool to measure my pins.

Some real beauties in here!
I didn't realize Colt had key forge marks on their lowers for 6933s. Never saw that before... |

When did Colt cease marking the 6933 with the COMMANDO rollmark?
|
|
|
The LE6933 has never been marked COMMANDO. Only the LE/MIL full auto version was marked COMMANDO. AND, it is still marked COMMANDO to this date.

DSG redid the website this week and the 6933 is no longer listed. Glad I ordered one last week.

You got a great deal. Best prices I have seen. I would have ordered another if I didn't already have two.

View Quote PITA; I use a 6 ton press and chuck, a special aluminum plate and clamp to hold the barrel steady in order to drive out the taper pins. Did it because the traditional method was destroying roll pins, taper pins, and marring the finish on the FSP. |
