Overby is believed to be in grave danger. Anyone with info is urged to call 911. Some good news (that needs some proofreading).

First responders found the victim, who reportedly sustained an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, and he was later pronounced dead, police say. A press release said the intruder was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody without further incident. The officer who fired his weapon has been placed on administrative leave, Haltom City police said, citing standard procedure during an officer-involved shooting investigation. The latest happened on Jan. 29 at around 4:15 p.m. at the Oaks of North Dallas on Haverwood Lane. The apartment community has a sign posted outside the leasing office labeling it a habitual crime property. The mail carrier was reportedly approached by a suspect described as a Black male, about 5’10”, in his early 20s, wearing a black hoodie, red shorts with a black and white stripe, black socks and white shoes. A suspect wearing a full-face mask and a letterman jacket with white sleeves and navy blue lettering reportedly held up a mail carrier at the Sophia Apartments on Hudnall Street on Jan. 12. This suspect is approximately 5’10”, in his teens or early 20s. The federal employee in this case was also unharmed. On Dec. 28, two men were accused of holding up a letter carrier at 3525 Colonial Avenue in Dallas at about 11:25 a.m. There is only a vague description of the masked suspects in this case. Robbery of on-duty postal employees is on the rise across the nation, according to statistics provided by the inspector’s office. The number of cases reported in 2022 was 423, exponentially higher than the 94 robberies reported in 2019. A fraction of these federal crimes result in arrests and convictions, according to the data. Convictions can carry up to ten years in federal prison. Imagine if all the other armed robberies had 1/4 this much effort put into them by authorities. |

Forney murder suspects arrested for 'targeted attack,' police say

Deaundre Walker and Mayra Lara have been charged with murder and possession of a controlled substance. Forney police say the killing happened at the Summer Haven Mobile Home Park and RV on Monday morning. The victim, who has not been identified at this time, was found shot in a driveway. Police say they found 240 grams of narcotics inside. Forney police say both the suspects and the victim knew each other. One of the suspects had been living at the address, but they were asked to leave about a week ago, according to investigators.
