Are there any ebay or aftermarket lower and upper parts kits worth getting or do I need to stick with OEM parts kits?

Try Aim surplus. Also on eBay make sure the parts are OEM Glock. I have gotten a couple off slides off there that work fine. Attached File

Shadow System parts seem to be ok. I only have a few, but based on my limited experience with them I'd recommend them over LoneWolf or Zev.

I definitely learned a few things that I could do differently/better next time. I also didn't find MGB until after I had started, but thankfully I didn't screw anything up. after assembly I noticed the slide was pretty tight so I went back in and removed/cleaned up the channel a little bit and the slide lock spring wasn't fully seated in the front. After those two things were done it was much better. I also racked it about 300 times and used frog lube. I'm pretty happy with it. EDIT: I took it out today and put 135 rounds through it. I had 1 Failure to feed in the first mag, and 2 light strikes in the first 30 rounds. I had a hand full of times where the slide didn't fully seat into battery but it was about 99% of the way there and just took a little offhand thumb nudge to seat. I took it apart cleaned and lubed it, racked it a few more times and then had no more issues. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. It'll continue to be a range only gun until I get a few hundred more rounds through it and feel completely confident with having no issues. I'm also going to diamond bit some burs and imperfections, and green bit polish the channel a little more. EDIT #2: i got it home ran back through it with diamond bit and then polishing bits and mothers polish at the end. I then racked it a few hundred more times just to be thorough. Took it back out for another hundred rounds and it was flawless. At some point I was just able to enjoy it without concern. To say I'm very happy would be an under statement. I have a real sense of accomplishment. View Quote I am just getting up to speed. What is MGB? |

I know this is a picture thread, an will be happy to post one when build is complete, but I have run into a problem and am not getting any responses in other thread. Builders post pictures in this thread so hopefully someone here will be able to help me.
I started to assemble my new Rock Slide USA slide for P80 Glock 21 build. I have a Lone Wolf firing pin safety that will not fit into the slide. I have to press it in and didn't think I would get it out (I did...eventually.) I did not get very far since this was the first step. Not sure if the slide and/or the firing pin safety is out of spec. I measured the diameter of the safety and it is 0.266". Does anyone have a G21, G21SF, G37, G38, G39 firing pin safety and caliper available to measure the diameter of the part? |

Want to post a few images of P80 projects I just completed. Searched the site (also google) but couldn’t find anything on what recommended image size is. Do you have to post a specific size or do you just upload and the site does it automatically? Thanks for your help.

Thank you. That's P80's new slide design. I think they did a great job with the reptilian serrations and scoop cut up front.

All went well. Very surprised bye the SS80. They have a excellent jig. They all shot like a Glock. Only feel better in the hand. The middle one is a CL. Dangerous very addictive!

And as said above, this can get addictive... be careful |

Has anyone tried one of the P80 built pistols? It's tough to find all the parts to build one up right now so I was thinking about just buying a P80 built pistol and maybe change things as I feel the need/want down the road.

I have not.
The Glock 17 BBS Kits have all the necessary parts and components to build a complete pistol, and en route to all dealers now. Should be online in the next couple days. Same with the Glock 17 Frame Kits, Sig P320 Grip Modules, and Glock 17 & 19 Complete Slide Assemblies. I know it's been a long wait but all these items are expected to hit this weekend. The Glock 19/26/27/43 Frame Kits should start shipping by end of next week, on the 13th/14th. The Glock 19 BBS Kits and P80 brand (Glock GEN3) Frame Part Kits will start shipping last week of August - first week of September. That's the intel I have so far...for certain though, inventory is back up and distribution is taking place. My recommendation is to wait a few more days before making any decisions. |
