| i love my sigs but was wondering with problems the 320 been having are they safe to keep? i have a custom works gun never fired and a compact carry same way but have been reluctint to carry should i dump them or keep? |

You aren’t going to find the answer here. Don’t believe some random person on arfcom. Law enforcement agencies across the country are wrestling with this very same question. Obviously, many are publicly coming to the conclusion that there is an issue and are refusing to issue or allow officers to carry them. Other agencies haven’t reached that conclusion and continue to issue / authorize. A few videos are interesting, but what I think would be truly interesting is a statistical analysis of unintentional discharges. While that may not be completely determinative, it would certainly be insightful. I have yet to see anything of the sort. Personally, I own several. Will I shoot them at the range? Sure. Would I carry them? No. I have better options. |

It’s a decision you have to make yourself. Do you think it is more likely that a mechanical system with several safety mechanisms is failing all at the same time, and then is unable to be reproduced, or that stupid people aren’t paying attention when handling their pistols and are getting foreign objects in the holster that results in trigger pulls? |

If you look back to say 5-7 years ago, I think it's more alarming the herd mentality and everyone jumping on the bandwagon. Fast forward that to today and you wonder how many people are just following the crowd so they don't look stupid. . Look I can't tell you if it's safe or not. If someone stops carrying their 320 out of concern because of all these reports, I think that's a reasonable consideration. But also keep in mind that these many of people who are now selling their 320s also probably bought them when they were the hot thing. |
| Given the situation I don't know that you could even get rid of them for anything but a massive loss. I am hanging onto mine and waiting it out. Maybe the issue is found and resolved, maybe there is a recall, or maybe it all turns out fine. I would rather take that chance than lose the investment at this point, especially since I have other pistols I can use in the meantime. |

The USAF just suspended use of the P320 as well after an airman died from a P320 going off by itself. I bet we see the military drop them as a whole now and either go back to Beretta with the M9A4 or Glock 19X. Anyone who denies there is an issue at this point is a delusional Sig shill that probably won't believe there is an issue until their personal Sig blows their weenie off. |

In my experience, practitioners of that technique do poorly against practitioners of the US professional norm, at least at a federal LE or SOF level. Egos get hurt.
