I gotta say Momo from there is the strongest "waifu" feeling I can remember having in a long time simply just because I'd love to have a friend who'd playfully push me into bettering myself [with that little hint of superiority as a spice]. But I get what you mean, I know Vermeil is supposed to be pretty ecchi and I dropped Sister Succubus pretty quick because it was just bad and the lewdness thrown in just made it worse. I prefer stuff like Strike Witches where even without the lewdness you have good characters/story/historically accurate guns/etc. |

Not sure I dig this episode. Click To View Spoiler Are we supposed to enjoy the schadenfreude of watching Renner give them everything just to live with her puppy? Also poor Mare didn't seem to want to murder all the people in the capitol. But was a good kid that follows orders . |

Yeah, first place I found online listed diameters up to two inches and lengths up to sixteen feet, but you have to allow them a week to make them (which isn't bad), and anything over 8 feet has to be shipped truck freight. Lowes has poplar round stock up to six feet long in one inch and in inch and a quarter. Six feet is a decent staff length and would probably work for making a polearm in a pinch, but when you want to go all stabby on something that you want to keep well out of reach (like a zombie), something longer would be nice. |

From my research, the best spear shaft length for a man on foot is about 7', depending on head length. If you're just lashing a big knife to it, 7' is probably perfect. Only drawback would be getting through low doors, or trying to do a 180 in a residential hallway with 8' ceilings. If you're stuck using composite lengths, you could always sleeve the join with some pipe or something to increase rigidity and strength, but that would hamper your ability to effectively use the spear. |

Everyone who complained about the over-the-top censorship in Harem in the labyrinth of another world can rejoice. Looks like crunchyroll released a mature version. It still has those stupid error box censoring, but it is not completely blocking the screen now.
I'm still confused as to why crunchy/funimation are hosting soft porn if they are going to censor it. In for a penny, in for a pound. They should just start hosting hentai at this point. |

View Quote I’m giving it a retry from the beginning - I totally forgot about how it started, and now that it’s all coming back to me I guess I’m remembering that the censored parts really didn’t amount to much at all until things started to get hot and heavy with Roxanne, which won’t be for a while. So this time through maybe I’ll pass the time by seeing how much of the dialog I can pick up straight, without concurrently reading the sub. But if even this version turns out to still be ridiculously censored I will have to check out one of the alternate sites for a proper viewing experience. Off the top of my head the only anime I can think of that had a steeper drop off in enjoyment level between S1 and S2 were The Promised Neverland and The Devil is a Parter-Timer. |

I watched original gundam pretty recently (like in the last 4 or 5 years over Wing which I watch back when Toonami was new). I was surprised how realistic and grounded it was compared to what I was used to seeing in a mech anime. I know most people hate the space psychic elements that are always brought up. But I appreciate what they were trying to accomplish with it. Originally Posted By mort: For Overlord is this the last episode of the season? Not sure I dig this episode. He was Vesture Kloff Di Laufen, a former adamantite-ranked adventure and the mentor of Gazef Stronoff. None of the guardians care about humans as a whole, but those are the only two that enjoy torturing them just to torture them. Demiurge tends to be more physical while Shalltear is more psychological. In the LN (S2 in the anime) Demiurge talks to Shalltear about how a fun tactic is to let the prey think they've escaped and later once they think they're safe and the danger is behind them that is when you bring the hammer down. Shalltear says that sounds like fun and she'll have to try that sometime. |

I don't watch cartoons of any kind on a regular basis, but I thought the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series was decent.
The first 6 episodes were a lot better than the last 4 though. |

I'm happy to see some actual adult anime being produced, in the form of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
With rare exception, everything else is either nothing but ultra violence, cutesy anime culture crap, or horrible hentai with poor production and even worse voice actors. I'm tired of everything being watered down for kids. Where is the anime that portrays real adult human life, with some extra element to make it entertaining? |

View Quote This is probably not what you’re looking for - and can become tiresome as it beats a single gag to death and beyond - but how about ‘Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan’? Mostly ‘adults’ talking over the heads of kids… An occasional glimpse of wry comedy, but with too much in the way of cliches and predictable plotline and repetitive jokes that just aren’t all that humorous after the two-hundredth time. https://myanimelist.net/anime/40620/Uramichi_Oniisan Completely different (other than the gags wearing a bit thin) from something like Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues - sorta evil, sorta absurd story about life in a corporate meat- grinder - but it’s not quite the same as ‘Office Space’ (less flair, for one thing). https://myanimelist.net/anime/37338/Chuukan_Kanriroku_Tonegawa Or for something even more completely differenter (and I stopped watching it after awhile after losing patience with it), but it’s certainly different: Odd Taxi https://myanimelist.net/anime/46102/Odd_Taxi Did I mention that it’s certainly different? Yeah, it’s more than just a bit ‘different’. Kinda like a cross between a sitcom and a whodunnit, but with animals. Lots and lots of mostly annoying animals. But it’s ‘different’, that’s for sure. |

I really liked OddTaxi. Thought it was well done.
I also mention “Great Pretender” as well. Interesting plot for most of it and very great art (IMO) |
