But look through the other MHI books under Larry's name to find the first one. I am missing my signed 1st edition of the paperback, from when Larry used to sell them on TFL as I recall. I loaned it out and it never came back  But as for the books I am a little tired of the main storyline and like the side quests. The story got too big even starting in the first book so he's having trouble topping the threat each new book. Prefer Alpha and especially the collaborations with John Ringo called Sinners and Saints. Correia's other series are great, I really liked Hard Magic. |

Except for the "five minutes" in the first book Thank you, forgot about that particular deus ex machina  No individual time travel. Which is weird since the main story has all these monster dimensions or whatever, time is just another dimension. Anyways, I hope not to try to keep things simple, and he does such a great job with the MHI extended universe telling all the other stories of the history without taking the present characters to them. |

Iirc he is finishing his other series. Heart of the Mountain, part of the Son of the Black Sword. I think it just got turned in. Book 5 turned into books 5 & 6. Because writing is kind of like that. (Calling Brandon Sanderson to the Wheel of Time series ...) And he has had 20+ books come out since the last time GRRM put pen to paper. |
