Back in the late ‘70s, myself and a couple of friends used to do a lot of fishing at Big Run Creek, just South of Columbus. It was very rural then, and there was a family cemetery on a small hill behind our favorite fishing hole. All the headstones were dated in the 1800s. We quit fishing there after we discovered someone dug up a child’s grave since our last time there a couple of days prior. This was in 1977, or ‘78. There were no roads to the cemetry, nor was it visible from the nearest road. |

| We have several bins full of titanium knee/hip/ect parts from our creamatory. Other than that, the funeral director & family/friends are led to the plot from the chapel. Hole is pre-dug w vault already installed. After the service w family still in attendance the vault top is placed & sealed. Backfilled immediately after family leaves. Body is never out of director or family sight. |

There are always staples at a minimum to remove because they are in the box the body arrives in. After magnet sweep & removing unburnt cardboard bits, remains go through a grinder & into a bag. For burial, anything of value would be placed in a casket & lid shut in front of family. What the funeral director does between his place & ours I have no idea… |
