Russian update from The Saker: Day 6 -Mariupol cauldron confirmed locked -Operational cauldron in the Donbass closing but not physically closed yet -Kiev blocked on all directions except the humanitarian corridor there is a no man’s land between the two Russian prongs (the one from the north and the one from the south), but it is now a Russian “free fire zone” which, considering both the presence of very heavy weapons systems (MLRS and TOS-1A) and the sharp increase in Russian air operations would be a very very dangerous attempt indeed. The Saker isn't exactly a neutral observer, but the Biden "approval" numbers part is certainly believable, LOL |

Getting back to Falsehood In War Time (1928), the book really does seem to be an all time classic. Same lies, different time:
1. We do not want war. 2. The opposite party alone is guilty of war. 3. The enemy is inherently evil and resembles the devil. 4. We defend a noble cause, not our own interests. 5. The enemy commits atrocities on purpose; our mishaps are involuntary. 6. The enemy uses forbidden weapons. 7. We suffer small losses, those of the enemy are enormous. 8. Where do you hear this shit?
Ukrainians are putting up a heck of a fight. I've been in direct contact with friends in Ukraine daily. They stopped multiple massive Russian tank and infantry attacks. Nearly 40,000 AKs were given to civil defenders just in one city. They are being used very successfully. Roads are packed full of destroyed Russian tanks and BTRs. It's been tough but they are not loosing. Nearly all citizens are involved in building inti-tank fortifications, molotov cocktails etc. They have to turn back volunteers to fight the invading army. People want to fight for their land and way of living. Don't listen to Russian propaganda that infiltrated just about every news outlet! |
