Whitmer had asked the justices to give her administration, lawmakers and local health departments 28 days to transition in the wake of the major decision. You've had over six months to transition away from "emergency" declarations and to move to actual laws. Don't complain that you can't be dictator any more. |

Everyone else is trying to thread the needle of reopening and safely handing at-risk populations, and she's trying to extend emergency powers to keep everything shut down as we're going into October? Then she used a legal manuever that allows you to appeal a ruling, and told everyone in effect still until the ruling on the ruling. They immediately said no the ruling stands, your exec orders are null and void after April 30. |
