 Metallica - Orion (Cliff Burton Bass Really Loud) So many Motorhead songs: This one is quite wicked. Lemmy just understood how to play a bass like a lead.  Motörhead - Hellraiser Don Felder "Taking a Ride"  HEAVY METAL-Don Felder-Heavy Metal (Takin' a Ride) Dont overlook sludge/doom metal like Electric Wizard and sleep. Lots of drop tuning but also some dark, dirge like bass lines.  Electric Wizard - Return Trip wojtek pilichowski is euro Les Claypool. Just fantastic.  Incredible Bass Solo (Wojtek Pilichowski) As a wild card, check out Remco Groove Labs. The guy has got the funk and commands the fretless.  Fretless Thumb & Fingerstyle Bass Grooves |
