There's a method to report the employee's date of death on a federal employee's timecard. If they died while on-duty, they receive pay for the rest of their scheduled duty hours that day. Except Presidential appointees like judges do not work a 40 hour/week schedule and simply draw a salary so I'm not sure if they receive that minor benefit.

Somewhat poor comparison, but in all fairness, our fascination in this woman dying is morbid although it would probably be helpful for the direction of the country.
