She looked at the camera as she got ready to tear the speech but the director cut to another camera but came back to her quickly. She was looking at the camera when the director cut back to that camera and then she proceeded to tear the speech in half. She kept glancing at the camera to make sure that it was live on her as she tore another section of the speech.

Also, there were glimpses of democratic fuckery during the speech. The director cut away from Nancy too many times during critical/unflattering moments to be chance. Also, the glimpse of the woman in white in the bottom left hand chair with her back to the camera directing the rest of the sheep in white to sit down at one point.

THis shit is unrelenting from the democrats.

She had to tear it in sections. I thought the camera just cut away from her tearing the first section, then got her with subsequent ones. No grip strength. Very sad!

also I think she tore the speech in sections to make sure it was seen and also because she probably doesn't have the hand strength to rip 5 sheets of paper at the same time.

The handshake thing was also planned. He never shook Pence's hand, so a handshake in this situation was not a thing. But she put her hand out knowing that he wasn't going to shake it, and now they can say "Oh, Pelosi tried to be nice and reach across the aisle, and he rejected it!" I don't even think he saw her hand reaching out, he was turning back around as she did it. But even if he did see it, it was not a thing, as proven by the fact that he did not shake the hand of his VP.

You can even hear someone on the NBC broadcast say “she did it , she did it!!!!”

Then they cut to their stooge and he immediately tells everyone what she was ripping up, to make sure it was the focal point. Calculated distraction with the media directly involved they where obviously told to watch for it beforehand.

Someone posted video in another thread of her pulling the speech behind her podium and pre-ripping a little of the sides. Definitely planned. Hard to say if she had the plan for minutes, hours or days though.

Next year, if she is still speaker, President Trump should either:
1) Tear it in half before giving it to her.
2) Print it on perforated paper with helpful "Tear Here" labels.
3) Print it on some of that plastic-core, untearable paper. It looks like paper. It feels like paper. Cue the laugh track when she stands up with a smug look on her face and tries to tear it in half.

She really does appear to have a genuine case of TDS. The President, her President, is living rent-free in her head.
