There are so many cases going on it's hard to keep track. Does this apply state wide or is it another one that only applies to named defendants? |

Quoted: GOA's case was one thay got the injunction Well…. It looks like I am joining the GOA then. Besides, maybe they will actually do something about the automated license plate readers getting positioned just outside of gun ranges here in the “down state” area. |

That was in the Northern District of IL with a liberal judge and they were making a much weaker case. All the media were running with it claiming that denying the injunction proved that the law was constitutional. Liberal logic. |

I worked a night shift last night. That google drop box link wouldn’t cut and paste correctly on my iphone. I normally don’t do twitter. But for something this big, I might make an exception. |

I think forum member “swanhunter” came down here to the Federal courthouse in East St. Louis like 2 or 3 weeks ago for that case. I want to say the judge’s name was something like McGlynn. Swanhunter had a thread posted in the Illinois hometown forum. |

I think, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, this is actually a consolidated case of four different suits with lawyers and plaintiffs from ... basically everyone... that got consolidated into the GOA case, including state gun shops, the ISRA and the NRA and even some municipalities. Not to diminish the GOA here, just clarifying that it was a big team effort. |

Another camera outside of the World Shooting Complex pinged my NCIC file on March 4, 2022. I haven’t been back yet to look for that camera. I have my own thread going on here in GD. Soooo….I now return ya’ll to your regularly scheduled IL AWB thread. |

Quoted: GOA, SAF, FPC all claiming credit on Twitter so far Quoted: GOA, SAF, FPC all claiming credit on Twitter so far Everyone was consolidated. Order applies to all the cases in the caption. From the docket ORDER granting 16 Motion for Preliminary Injunction. Although the Order specifically identifies the plaintiffs in the lead case of Barnett, et al. v. Raoul, et al., 23-cv-209-SPM, the caption also references the consolidated cases, i.e., Harrel, et al. v. Raoul, et al., 23-cv-141-SPM; Langley, et al. v. Kelly, et al., 23-cv-192-SPM; and, Federal Firearms Licensees of Illinois, et al. v. Pritzker, et al., 23-cv-215-SPM. Because the same analysis applies in these consolidated cases, the corresponding Motions for Preliminary Injunction are also be GRANTED. Signed by Judge Stephen P. McGlynn on 4/28/2023. Quoted: That can’t be, its against the law to keep a database. As a side note, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) bought up a whole bunch of Illinoisians’s cell phone location data , 2 years worth, in January 2019 (a year before covid). https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/08/illinois-bought-invasive-phone-location-data-banned-broker-safegraph I am sure ….100% positive that Illinois state would never use that data to track people to gun stores or gun ranges. Pfftt…. Nope. The .gov would not do anything nefarious with all that data. |

Federal judge grants injunction temporarily blocking enforcement of Illinois gun law | Fox News Gun Owners of America, a plaintiff in the case, said in a statement that the ruling should send a message to Pritzker. "Governor Pritzker and his anti-gun cabal in the legislature thought they could steam roll the Second Amendment, and this ruling makes clear that they abused their authority and infringed on their citizens’ rights. We look forward to continuing this fight," GOA Senior Vice President Erich Pratt said. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/federal-judge-grants-injunction-temporarily-blocking-enforcement-illinois-gun-law |
