Very good. It’s probably very dependent on the individual installers but these guys know their stuff. The only thing I’m not sure about is the height. Seems a bit high to me. But when they were talking about it I thought it was going to be low so I was trying to talk them in to putting it higher and they were like nah your dumb trust us. Glad I did because now I’m thinking even lower would be better.

there are charts online about seating distance to screen size, and height angles. THX the movie people put it out. it really helps to give a theater like experience. and dolby has a recommended speaker placement also.

When I got my bigscreen HDTV, I realized one thing:

People Are Fuckin' Ugly.

It took me a long time to be able to block out every imperfection that was now magnified larger than life.

Op, I hung a 65” with my wife a few weeks back, good call having a professional do it. Lesson learned

That is about the height of mine...not an 82" though. About perfect for me. I think you will like it even thought it might take some getting used too.

That’s a huge price difference. I was debating 82 MU8000 and 75 X900E. I wanted the Sony. Wife wanted the size. (Insert joke). After watching it at the store for a bit I was satisfied. I frequent AVSforum and the 2017 Samsungs aren’t well liked there. The 900E is the hot TV over there and the 940E is incredible.

If you're not ISF trained/certified and have access to a color spectrophotometer/colormeter, chances are you'll make it worse by accessing the calibration settings.

Disclaimer: I'm ISF & Runco certified and have a colormeter.

Yeah, when I had Best Buy do it, they also guaranteed the installation from falling off the wall (I’m sure they gave you the same guarantee. I have kids so I knew if it was on a stand (instead of the wall), it would eventually be knocked off.
