I imagine there is a or are several threads on this topic but those that I browsed didn't come close, so much search skills need help.  I'm interested to gain information about basic prep for stay in shelter preparations - supplies, and ideas.  Basic water and food - calculating, storing, which brands/ sites offer best deals - Wise, Mountain House, whatever.  I have some inof r on longer-term plans - growing food, sustainable water, shelter, etc.  I am intersted in basic, stay in place, congested urban to suburban setting, SHTF basic prep - in many ways, my perspective is perhaps similar to imagining a couple weeks of far out camping...2 adults, 2 pre-teen kids, urban neighborhood.  thanks!
