Yoda –– nobody else even comes close.

I've always thought that a philosophy book written "By" Yoda would be awesome, and sell a ton. Fill it up with his little catch phrases like
"Do or do not. There is no try"

Ya know, that is really the only one that makes good sense.

Wedge was there for not one, but two successful Death Star blowed up missions. In the entire universe. He's got to be a hot pilot.

Wedge had two Death Stars, several capital ships, and hundreds of fighter kills painted on the side of his X-Wing - and he did it without the Force.  He was the single best non-Jedi starfighter pilot in the Star Wars universe.

Period.

Jar Jar Binks.   Made me realize that I never really liked the series and that George Lucas just introduces a variety of characters so that he can make millions off the merchandizing. Stopped watching the movies after that.

Yeah, that is certainly a point I can respect.

Anger, fear, sorrow leads to the dark side? Yet these emotions are constantly exhibited by every jedi in damn near every scene. Lucas sets a bar that his own creations cannot meet.

Yoda's sorrow at the deaths during Order 66, Obi-Wan's when viewing the hologram of Anakin killing the children, Obi-Wan's sorrow at Padme's death....

Lucas had built-ins right there to ensure no one had to convey emption when acting, and still failed. Granted, these are all prequel examples, which suck.

Most of my buddies who are huge fans like myself all agree the first three (ep 1-3) movies suck balls, the books however (at least those like rogue squadron, thrawn trilogy, etc) are awesome and what the movies SHOULD of been. The extended universe is where it's at. Lucas can FOAD.

Don't get me wrong. I love the originals. But if Lucas had made the fucking Thrawn trilogy into the next three instead of prequels.... Gold. Star destroyers vs. the remnants of the Katana Fleet? Genius practical uses of a cloaking device? Insane Jedi Master clone? And the awesome duel at the end?

I'd catch it multiple times in the theaters.

Psssshhhht, whatever. He wasnt fit to even carry Admiral Ozzel's dirty socks.  Ozzel was a complicated and misunderstood genius of a tactician, with a powerful and touching character arc.

The "look sir, 'droids" Stormptrooper was also impressive.

That's what makes the characters believable. Like any religion, the practitioners are human and behave as such. It's just the code that they strive to follow.

Too bad the dark side is the morally superior choice.

The Jedi like Lucas are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. They preach that one thing is the path to the dark side yet they turn around and do that very thing themself when it serves their intrests.
