2A is right to keep an bear arms. Arms include pretty much any weapon or munitions.

Now, imagine a scenario whereby the Democrats put tons of new regulations on ammo manufacturers "for the environment, etc." and also put new taxes on ammo. And make you fill out some sort of form when you buy it, get rid of mail order, etc.

You do not have a right to "keep and bear ammo."

A backdoor way to render firearms useless. Lots of new gun owners out there without any ability to actually practice with and use them.

Haven’t they been trying this for years? Why are afraid now?

Lol you can thank bots and scalpers for ammo costs.

They use computer programs to checkout faster than a person can, then the sell off the ammo a few boxes at a time on an auction, and you can bet they use fake accounts to push up the bids too. I've been watching that happen for a year now.

I've listened to another ffl owner gleefully talk about how he managed to buy out a pallet's worth of ammo so he can turn around and slowly leak it on gun broker for 125% more than he paid. Gun owners have managed to make panics part of our culture almost like stone age humans and droughts. We spend so much time building up panics so when they even look like they might happen people spring into action.

There's capitalism then there's market manipulation.

It will take a generation or two for the billions of rounds of ammunition out there to go away.

Good. They do that, we use their first case of a manufacturer being responsible for the bad actors actions as the precedent and go after Ford and Budweiser for drunk drivers. Then we go after anti gun corporations that had a mass shooting for failing to provide the safety of its victims.
Use their logic applied to multiple industries outside of firearms and ammo.
Watch how quick the corporate commies put the brakes on that feelz based logic.

They want to make personal/individual responsibility irrelevant? Bet.

Now the obese can hold fast food joints accountable for their gluttony. Call for common sense fork/spoon control.
Some kid in the hood gets shanked for his Jordan's? Nike is responsible for the demise of that youth for making them a target to succumb to inner city violence.
Same for bicycles.

Go ahead. Remove the protections of firearms and ammo manufacturers from end user bad deeds.
Let that be the test case that manufacturers are responsible for the actions of consumers, and consumers are not responsible for their actions.

Corporate commies gonna love hemorrhaging money because individual responsibility for actions is bad, manufacturers responsible for bad actors good.

Lol theyll tailor any legislation to only include the firearm and ancillary industries. You think the food/farm lobbies wouldnt get themselves exempted by their cronies in congress?

Ammo is included in the term "arms" so it would be a real stretch for anyone with an above room temp IQ to rule in favor of that.

There's a shortage because of dumbass neckbeards who think having tens of thousands of rounds is actually useful.  In an actually shtf scenario how many rounds are you expecting to carry and realistically shoot?  Are you gonna be holed up at home fending off the zombie hoards with your 50k rounds?  IMO having something like 1000 of each caliber you shoot is practical.

A ordinary multi-day class can easily use up 1000 rounds

Good - that would be a positive thing as far as getting more people actively opposed to them. The slow incrementalism produces very little resistance.

Our best hope at this time is that they step over the line and enrage a greater portion of the nation.

As crazy as you think OP's scenario you might be, you're an idiot if you think some government bullshit is not a real possibility.

Everyone currently of legal age to buy gun.

What about the teenagers who will turn 18 after ammo restrictions go into effect.

What about people on tight budgets who could afford to stack thousands of rounds at cheaper prices.

Or when all of our ammo forts slow dry up over time. Or people decide to save it for a rainy day but then basically stop shooting for practice.

Wasn't there a ruling that ammo was protected under the 2nd?
