After that, it's at most 4 hours of hands on training per year. That may as well be nothing. I've never seen or heard of anyone at my department doing anything like this. It defies common sense. |

This is not a training issue. This is mongrel animals beat up a guy, probably a criminal, after he was down. Dude coulda saved himself a lot of trouble, that is not the point. The point is after they had him they exacted their pound of flesh on a guy who could no longer fight back. That makes them animals no better than any criminal they have chased. Every one of them that hit him needs time for ag assault or attempted murder whatever their charge is in TN. |

As a cop, here's my take... 1) This incident is sickening. Video 2 from the traffic pole is bad. The BWCs are bad. Watching the timestamps was disgusting. 2) All of the officers who have been terminated should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. 3) All of the other officers on scene not terminated should be suspended without pay pending an even deeper investigation. 4) This is not a representation of ALL cops... Sadly, this completely sets back any bit of reform that had been happening since the Floyd incident. These savages just set us back 50 years with this. 5) Two-fold: AND IN NO WAY JUSTIFYING WHAT THESE SAVAGES DID ----- Don't resist. Let the cuffs go on, and situations like this (probably) never happen. I'm sure there'll be more takes but as someone who has been in multiple situations involving resisting individuals, this is embarrassing, pathetic, brutal, and an absolute K.O. punch to all other officers who wear the badge the right way and proudly around the nation. ETA: I won't weight in on the Firefighters/EMTs who responded, that's not my profession. |

If im matching up the overhead camera view with it right, I'm pretty sure he's already in handcuffs or at least being restrained by his hands while they're yelling that and taking swings at him. I'm not sure if they initiated it (I just watched 2 and 1).. but video 1 he is pulled out of the car and takes off running. The officers there did make an attempt to detain him and at least from the body cam, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary (I don't know if they ended up on the scene of the beating or not.. both stated they couldn't see as they'd been pepper sprayed, so I'm assuming they stayed with the cars). |

Not only that but the continued beatings to the head could have caused brain swelling and other things can go south when that happens. Pretty sure baton guy was smacking him in the back and possibly caused kidney damage just from that. I have a feeling he was on meth b/c of the way these guys couldn't get him in control but it doesn't really make fuck all difference what he was on. |
