I didn't think that the HK416 functioned well with the Knights cans. I've only seen AAC cans being rocked on 416's. Obviously the SEAL w/ the CTR didn't have problems. |

I have also heard that the NT4 and 416 didn't work well together, but I have seen many photos (mostly CAG) with them used together. DEVGRU are fans of AAC and from what I understand CAG went with Surefire years ago. |

Ya I've always assumed they moved it to the BDE since I haven't seen it at the airfield, but I also don't go down that way often. No one can even remember how long its been gone. One day after a run we were talking and no one could recall the last time they saw it. Definitely an icon of the area. It now looks pretty bare and ghetto. |

Cav Country was always a bit ghetto, but that was kind of what made it cool. When I was out-processing in 2002 they had poured concrete pads and moved an old AH-1, UH-1, and OH-58C down to the corner of Chinook Ave and Black Sheep Run in the Brigade Area across from what used to be Son DZ. Wait, Is the DC-3 (C47) still at the entrance to CAAF. |
