Our next washer will be a Speed Queen.  We have an older top load Kenmore that has been going strong for about 12 years and it won't die.  My wife overloads the shit out of it too despite my occasional grumblings.  My parents just got a new HE top load and they hate it.. I was up there the other day and heard it running and asked my Mom what the hell was wrong with it and she said it sucks.  Stop, pause, go, stop, pause, go...lol  stupidest thing I've ever heard
