View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: "The actions of the officers are pending an investigation" Did I hear that right? Good shot officer. Homicides need to be investigated. Wait until you find out that in Texas this would have to be presented to a Grand Jury. Same in Nebraska, every in custody death. I've heard, but don't care to verify, that executions have to go because of the way the law is. |

Quoted: The officers that only had pistols and didn't return high risk shots was also noteworthy. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Damn. "No, fuck it, get the kid" cop deserves a medal, especially after he was the one who showed up after the party was started, got the rifle into play first and ended the situation The officers that only had pistols and didn't return high risk shots was also noteworthy. Absolutely. |

Very good shot. Loved that he zoomed in his LPVO. And took the kill shot, leaving the baby completely unharmed.
Well done by those officers. |

Quoted: Yep. Probably has the adjustment set at 1x for instant versatility and then switched it to a more magnified setting for his precise shot. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: What was he doing with his scope, adjusting the magnification? Yep. Probably has the adjustment set at 1x for instant versatility and then switched it to a more magnified setting for his precise shot. That's the way I took it. Damn good officer and damn good shot. I don't care what color your skin is, leave helpless children alone. The fact that he wanted to help the child and took time to try soothing the baby is amazing. .. got me teary-eyed. Poor kid was probably deaf from his shitbag "dad" popping off rounds right next to him. |

Cop with rifle is a real cop.
Some of the others, not so much. He starts toward the perp, some dumbass is trying to tell him to wait and stay behind cover. "Holdonholdonholdonholdon!" Rifle cop had the right idea. "NO, FUCK IT, Get the kid!" running to take control of the situation while perp was down and out of the fight. Pretty rare to see that, usually everyone stays solidly ensconced behind their cover while everyone with extra holes in them, perp and innocent alike, just bleed out. |

Kids are the one thing that will get cops to pull out every part of themselves. Awesome job.

View Quote Realize it's 2 different cops. Vic that rolled up, both cops got rifles but the shooter was the passenger. Took the driver a bit longer to get his rifle and he didn't shoot. Then the driver rifle cop was the one who rushed to get the kid. Not sure who said wait wait wait, whether it was the shooter cop or the other two with pistols. But it's two different cops. |

Next time any of us go practice with an AR, we should practice at 5-20 yards hostage shots and remember
HEIGHT OVER BORE AXIS. |

I like professional cops very much. I wouldn't have wanted to be in his position in a million years behind that trigger with a baby right next to my POI. Mistakes become absolutely unacceptable. That guy practiced to the point where he was 110% positive on his shot placement and it's clear because he did not hesitate for a millisecond. The kid and the mother were lucky he was there because there aren't a high percentage of that caliber individuals out there and it would have likely ended way worse if even a few more seconds elapsed. I don't believe for one second that was a lucky shot by a reckless cop. That was a precision malignant assholectomy by a professional IMHO.

Good shoot, out-fucking-standing shot.
Nice rifle setup, too. I went back and forth on having a LVPO on my patrol rifle, but ended up on going with a red dot and flip-to-side magnifier. |

Good shoot. This should be the lead story on every news network. Taking Out the trash LVPD style.

God damn work.
THAT is when police officers earn the designation of hero. Smoked the POS to save a kid and immediately ran to protect and comfort the kid. That officer should never pay for another beer. |

With nothing but sidearms and shotguns, these cops would have had much shittier options here.
Patrol rifle FTMFW. |
