If ghosts are real I just don't know why they'd be going around dropping vases and moving chairs or whatever. If I die and that's my existence I'm going to be pissed. |

I went back to sleep but told my creepy story to the guy working the front desk, asking if anything bad ever happened in that room. He said no. Unfortunately the hotel segment is completely fake. I have no doubt there is scary and paranormal stuff out there. Unfortunately the internet is full of fake stuff people created for Youtube commission clicks. |

Where’s the EMT who was in the ambulance with an old woman who coded. When she was revived, she spoke his name (despite them not knowing each other). I notice in the quote of the original response, he never gives his actual name....so it was likely something common. It would be one thing if his name was Bob Wehadababyitsaboy, and that's what she called out...but quite a another if it was just Jim. And students in clinicals are absolutely gullible, I'm sure the other medics messed with him a bit (which in his mind upped the creepy factor). I will say this, people who *really* want to see & believe in spooks/haunts/haints/ghosts/great-great grandma are usually more likely to have these sorts of occurrences. |

I think this is it. I think that ghosts and sprits apparitions hauntings are just energy. Energy that is new and weird to us. Something we cant test for or see or know about or even how to find out what it is. BUT that energy is a left over type of thing left over after we die. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Sort of like with a fire there is heat and smoke. Well after we die maybe the energy we release is like the heat and the smoke but we cant see it and we cant feel it and if we walk right thought it sometimes some can feel or "Sense" it. Like a cold chill. Sometimes maybe that energy can interact with its environment like move a curtain on the window, or move a pencil and knock it off a desk stuff like that. Could be thats the "Energy" communicating or trying to communicate with us. IS Aunt Edna trying to tell you "The will leaving you millions is in the draw now look thats why I opened it for you dumb ass." Maybe it's not. Like the wind coming through the window and blowing the curtains around. It's just like the wind only "Energy" that "Interacts" with stuff maybe even people. Perhaps that "Energy" has been moving for hours or days being pushed along like the wind and then it gets to you or the curtain or the pencil on the table. Maybe some of us are not "Tuned Into" the energy we never feel it or know it's even there. If anything we get cold chills or the hair on the back of our neck stands up. Some are somewhat sensitive maybe they can feel the presence or a simple halo around the "Energy" that looks like a figure. Others are locked in like they know its address and time on target type shit. Can see where and what it is and maybe even WHO it is. Could be the Energy can produce sound. Say of the sound of a baby or child crying, or a woman crying or people talking type sound. IS it the actual energy of a woman crying or people talking? WHO FUCKING KNOWS!!!! I have talked to people that I do trust that have told me that they have heard their mother or father, or other loved one call their name or talk to them like they were in the fucking room with them. Not imagining but ACTUALLY the sound came through their ears. Some repeatedly dozens of times. AND those that have asked is that you "Granny or Mom" it will keep up. BUT if they dismiss it then it happens maybe 1 or 2 more times and then stops. My wife has that little bit of knowing when people are going to pass. Down to the day and the time frame. IE Thursday Morning (8AM). Friday late evening (10PM). She can feel when bad things happened in rooms of and parts of houses. Seems to feel the bad stuff in rooms and houses. We looked at a place in another city once to rent back in 2007. 3 bedroom, 2 car garage, 2 baths, big living room, completely new remodeled kitchen and great room. They had it down to 700 a month. NO takers. She said no and left after walking into the kitchen. Said something bad happened there. We found out about 2 months later from the RE agent that showed us the place said the husband killed the kid and the wife in the kitchen. IT sold during covid. I think that people who see ghosts can see the energy of person maybe they are actually able to be "Aura" of the person and make out details. They are that tuned in they can form an image of the "Energy" and see it. My wife said 3 times when she lived with her grandmother she saw a tall man walk down the hall headed to her grandmothers room. They all told her its her grand father. She never met him but she swears that looked like the pictures of him standing in that exact same hallway her grandmother had to dig out of her closet years later. |

He shows all sides of a topic and debunks various aspects of them and gives all the info he has out, both for and against the topic. Some get totally shot down, others he can't find much, but doesn't do a mythbusters confirmed or debunked stamp, let the viewer decide for themselves. You get used to the fish, he's there to say stuff on YouTube that he wouldn't otherwise be able to inject into a video without YouTube downvoting him as too woo-woo. Back in the early 2000s, my wife and I were sleeping in our bed. It was before dawn. The first rays of light began to break up the darkness. We were just beginning to stir awake when we heard a woman at our bedroom door say, “Sorry.” Both my dogs jerked their heads up to look, as did we. I said, “WTF was that? Did you hear that?” My wife says, “Yea I heard it. A woman said “sorry.” I grabbed the G20 off the nightstand and proceeded to clear the house. Checking doors, closets, etc. I walk back into our bedroom and the wife asks me if I saw anything. I tell her no as I’m putting the gun back down on the nightstand. I turn back to the left and right next to me is the dark form of a woman a foot away. I let out a startled yell as does my wife because she sees it too. And in an instant, it’s gone. That was 20+ years ago. Over the years, one of us will broach the subject and still remember it vividly. Never have come up with an answer. Before typing this out, I asked her again, and she described it just as I remember it happening. |

I'm not in those professions, but I experienced something unusual. We, my wife and I, arrived at my in-laws apartment about 18 hrs after my FIL died there under hospice care. We had a shitty night's sleep on a dead a dead air mattress. The next day, wife, MIL, SIL went off on some errands. I tried to grab some sleep in my MIL's recliner which sat next to the (now removed) hospice bed in the living room. Pud, the cat, joined me on my lap. As I dosed, in that state between awake and sleep, I saw my FIL standing in the room. No acknowledgment. No interaction. He was just standing there, where his bed used to be. I believe I saw a shadow of him. Some part of him or his spirit had yet to move on. He was in the room though, clear as day. |

Wife is a sensitive, not a medium. Sometimes, she sees dead people. We were driving on a road at night that we had never been on before. She says "EEEE- there is a dead guy beside the road." I am thinking she saw a living person, and slam on brakes. I see nothing. A month or 2 later we are driving that way in the daylight and off the road about 10-15 yards was a roadside memorial. I have asked her how she knows. She said there is an aura about them. She doesn't like it and tells them that she can't help them and to leave her alone. She got very sick a couple of years ago and was probably about 24 hours from death. She had to have an emergency operation and said there was an older nurse in a white uniform with a white nurses cap that talked to her before surgery and told her she was close to death, but was going to be ok. That night, another nurse in a white uniform and nurse's cap sat beside her bed and said to go to sleep she would be there with her. She said she knew both of them were dead. |

I did a brief stint as an overnight security guard in a recycling warehouse that I'd previously worked at during the day. The first few hours weren't bad, then they shut down the yard as well as the adjacent business that shared the building, leaving me alone on the property. I'd made my rounds, then went to sit up in an elevated lunchroom and read books to kill time. I started hearing some strange commotion out on the shop floor, like someone was digging around in the huge piles or aluminum cans, paper and cardboard that sat out there. I ran down, checked the place out carefully, thinking maybe a homeless person or animal had maybe gotten in somehow, but found nothing. I also looked at the balers and other equipment, thinking that maybe they reset themselves at a certain point, but found nothing and everything was powered down and locked out. Back to the lunch room I went, then 15 minutes later I hear the noises again, I come out, again find nothing, so back I went. However this time I'm making a point of keeping watch out the window from the room, hoping to get a glimpse of whatever it was. I hear what sounds like a heavy box being drop to the floor, but can't see anything, so I race out, really perplexed at this point. Don't find anything, however most of the lights started shutting off in sequence automatically, so I was was like "fuck this" and ran back to the lunch room and closed blinds. Two more hours went by uneventfully, though at this point I'm creeped out and cold. A bit later I heard some more faint suspicious noises but at this point wasn't going to respond. Then, I hear the unmistakable sound of booted feet on the stairs leading up to the lunchroom. Holee shit, a this point I'm filled with dread and jumped up and locked the door and then went to a spot by the window where I could see the bottom portion of the stairs. I watched for over 20 minutes and of course saw nothing. I'm seriously weirded out at this point. I figured that someone was either still standing out on the steps, or possibly right on the other side of the doorway, waiting where I couldn't see them, or they'd managed to quietly run back to the shop floor amd hide. I considered calling the foreman, but assuming he even answers, what do I tell him? He'd probably insist that I go looking around in the dark, unarmed and without even a flashlight. I spent the next few hours, sitting facing the doorway, just listening carefully. Let me tell you I was never so glad as when I heard the morning shift come in an open the place up. I ended up quitting that job, even though I really needed it, and from what I heard later apparently I wasn't the first guy to last only one shift working security at that location. Paranormal? Who knows? But definitely unsettling. |

I'm recounting a family story told to me by a friend. He "Tom" and his Brother (elder) "Kent", were 2 years apart in age. When Tom was 6 years old or so, in the middle of the night, Kent woke him up and said: "the Angel told me to wake you up and you are to go outside." I need to wake up Mom and Dad now, GO..!!! Tom got up and went outside as instructed. Kent went to his parents bedroom, woke up his parents telling them the same: "the Angel told me to wake you up and you are to go outside" They rebuffed his advice, then Kent said: Tom is outside already, we have to go outside now..!!!! So.. his Parents gave in and got up, and then the parents smelled gas as they entered the hallway. He saved their lives. IIRC their hot water heater had the gas leak. Kent said that when he was sleeping he felt someone shaking him, and as he woke up, a misty white illuminated figure told him: "Kent, you have to wake up and be a brave boy, your family is in danger, wake them up from their sleep and tell them to go outside." All corroborated by the family. |

A deputy responds to a reported dead body in the backyard of a country residence. The Deputy arrived and contacted an elderly man. The elderly man took the Deputy to the backyard of the residence saying, "he is right here by the shed laying on the ground." Deputy asked the man if he could describe what the person was wearing. The old man said, "grey sweatpants and a red plaid jacket with hood". The Deputy searches the area and finds nothing. Concerned about dementia, Deputy looks into the old man's health. A rural fire chief showed up on scene and explained to the Deputy elderly man is cared for by his son and man suffers from dementia that has been getting progressively worse. The chief said he would stay with elderly man until the son arrived and have a discussion with son about placing the elderly man into a care facility. Satisfied the Deputy left the scene. Two days later, Deputy gets call for a death investigation, recognizing the address as the one he had a previous call of service, he remembered the old man. Once on scene he contacted the of the son of the deceased and rural fire Chief. After some discussion the Chief takes the Deputy to the backyard. The old man was laying on the ground by shed...wearing grey sweatpants and ed plaid jacket with a hood. |

The one that sends a chill up my spine though happened last year while I was still doing clinicals. We received a call to a nursing home for a unresponsive 87 year old woman. When we picked her up it was obvious she was not long for this world. She coded three times on us before we got her to the ER. What freaked me out though was when she became responsive briefly during transport. I was starting an IV and she just sprang to life, grabbed my arm with a strength unholy for a frail old woman, looked me square in the eye and in a raspy, guttural way quietly screamed my name. The look in her eyes was unlike anything I had seen before or since. It felt like she was starring straight into my soul. What is so disturbing about that is that during no point had I introduced myself to her as she was unresponsive. Also being a dumb student I had forgotten my ID badge that day as well. I had never worked her before as a patient, nor meet her that I can recall in any capacity. Could be she mistook me for somebody else by the same name but it sure seemed meant for me. She died less than an hour after admission. To this day I still remember everything about that call like it just happened and it makes my blood run cold to remember her face and the way she called to me. Sometimes I close my eyes and still see that face. That’s it! Man, you’ve got some impressive search skills! ?? |

I was mountain biking up a logging road in Oregon's Coast range. I saw what looked like a pinball in the sky. It was stationary, then it moved in a straight horizontal line out of sight. The town, McMinnville is famous for UFO sightings. They even have a UFO festival. Who knows what the heck I saw. |

Two more weird things. I was in a small Southern Sierra town for a mountain bike race, My wife and I were staying in an old hotel. From the mining days. In the middle of the night, I peeled myself from my body and floated through the door and over the upstairs railing. It was the middle of the night but it was midday outside when this happened. There was also a street fair going on and I floated 20' above everyone and up the street. I was thinking about my dad who had recently passed. I looked to my left and there he was in a dormer window laughing at me. The next morning, I rode up the street. Curious, on my way to the start line. There was the exact same house. I'd never seen it before. When my brother passed, my wife and I were in bed. We didn't know. The forest came alive with every creature that lives here calling out for ten seconds. It was incredible. Every bird, raccoons, yotes, dogs. You name it, then silence. We just looked at each other with a WTF look. Later, the time of death was determined to be that exact time. 4:45AM. It was loud as F. I haven't heard anything like it before or since. |

I posted this before years ago in the Creepy Stories thread, when I was 5 years old my dad and I were watching tv in the evening. We did this every day, we’d eat supper then sit on the couch watching TV and drift off to sleep, then eventually get up and go to bed. We lived in a double wide trailer, his bedroom was on the opposite end of the place from my bedroom. While we were drifting off watching TV, I remember suddenly sitting straight up and I told my dad our house was going to burn down that night. I remember somehow just knowing it, and I while I remember that feeling I can’t really articulate the fulness of it. I just knew it was going to happen. I kept telling my dad that and he ended up getting pretty pissed with me and told me if I said it again he was going to whip me. I shut up but I remember my mind was just boiling trying to come up with some way to get him to understand what was happening, I was in a panic. I convinced him to let me sleep in his room for that night (my mom worked 3rd shift), so we went off to bed. I tried once more in the first 5 minutes after we’d gone to bed to tell him the house was going to burn, this time he came pretty close to getting up and whipping my ass but I told him I was sorry and I’d shut up and go to sleep. I lay there awake, not sure for how long, just trying to think of what to do. I woke him up and asked him to get me a glass of water from the kitchen. He was aggravated but said if I’d go to sleep he’d get me some water. He got up and I remember so clearly, when he opened the bedroom door to go out to the kitchen a red glow filled the bedroom. The fire had already started in the laundry room where an electrical short had started a fire (according to the fire marshal). The trailer, being a trailer, went on up quickly and burned totally to the ground. So that’s my story, can’t say what or how it happened, to this day I don’t know what to make of it. Sounds crazy I know but it happend just that way, so help me. |

Volunteer FF here and our station is haunted. It’s a relatively new station, we moved into it in 2007. It’s a large metal building with 10 bay doors, 5 on each side. We have a couple office's, couple bathrooms, med closet, kitchen and large meeting room. All this on the ground floor. The bunk room is directly above the offices and kitchen. Shortly after I started, I ran a call at 2 or 3 in the morning with a couple other guys and we were back in the office filling out the report and we all heard LOUD foot steps in the bunk room directly above us. We all got quiet and wide eyed. They laughed it off and said they hear it all the time. This has happened a handful of other times to me, hearing the footsteps mostly in the middle of the night after a call. We have a bunch of young folks that will sleep up there and they tell stories of loud bangs, doors opening and closing, whispers, and phantom smells. One of the guys sleeps up there alone a lot and he sleeps with a TIC so he can look for things around the room if something goes bump in the night. He said he’s seen cold spots in areas and it seems to move around at times. I’ve had to go to the station during the day a few times when my wifi goes out at home. I work from home so internet is somewhat important to me. I have to set up in the meeting room and face the kitchen because no ghost is gonna sneak up on me. Most my experiences have been out in the bays while being there alone. I’ve been whistled at, heard my name called, seen a door slowly open, heard the same door close, and heard the phantom boots walking above me. In the 2.5 years I’ve been volunteering, we have had 3 members die. Two died of cancer after being career FF’s in Fort Worth. The last that died got the jab prior to having knee surgery. He had a heart attack after throwing a blood clot. Everyone says the station was haunted before these three deaths. The whistle I mentioned earlier could be attributed to our former chief who used to whistle all the fucking time. If this guy wasn’t talking or eating, he was whistling. |

You get used to the fish, he's there to say stuff on YouTube that he wouldn't otherwise be able to inject into a video without YouTube downvoting him as too woo-woo. | Just to put a cap on this - You're speaking about the paranormal on a much higher level than I really am. Is it possible? Sure, I don't know. I don't know everything. What I'm saying is, and no offense to anyone, when someone tells a story starting with, "when I was 5 years old I was falling asleep and suddenly I saw a ghost in my room" I automatically assume they were dreaming and there wasn't a ghost. But for their whole life they've been telling people they saw a ghost. Same as when someone says they were out camping at night and they saw a strange shape out in the woods they can't explain and they tell everyone they saw bigfoot. |

Tl;dr Darwin puts forth this pretty good study. No one challenges it, first of all, which is key to science, but furthermore a large amount of Christian preachers instantly view this as a threat and are like "oh jk Jesus wasn't real but we should like act like him or something lol" Which is why you have tranny flags and trash today. Put differently, someone should have said "Oh awesome, thanks for helping me understand the world around me. Christ is king" Or "I don't buy this, I'm going to do my own study of these facts". But the fact of the matter is, neither of these things actually happened, and instead you had an erosion of Christianity. Moving forward, we see similar things with science such as (most blatantly) "trust the science". When in reality that means we should be questioning the shit out of it.
