Maybe you guys can convince them to do a version that will fit our NDS-18S lower. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/91277/NDS-18S_right_JPG-817562.jpg View Quote |

I actually need one of those some day. Got zero faith in the plastic lower that my B has. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Nifty!
Would also like to see a shorty. Though, given their success with the Retro line they introduced last year, why not just make a replica of the original? |

Kinda neat. I'm not sure it's $800 neat, but I like that Brownells is doing cool stuff.

While this is really cool and might scratch the itch for some folks, I think I'll hold out for a complete rifle that doesn't use an AR lower.

I wouldn't want one.
Weird. If I wanted an AR180, and I kind of do I'd want the whole thing to be an AR180. Not half. |

I'm pretty sure John Thomas at Retro Arms Works could cut one down to shorty length.
He did one for BigRix. AR180S At The Range |

Now do a pistol/SBR upper, Brownell's. That has potential to be really cool. Other than a reasonable price and decent reliability I couldn't ask for more. |

But with a $150 lower assembly it's still under $1K. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
I may get run off with pitch forks, but if it had a 14.5" or 16" barrel with a short enough M-LOK handguard for me to mount up my reflex suppressor, I would pair it with an Ares SCR lower for a very amusing dedicated hunting AR-Not-AR. |

Meh. Do it full retro with a AR-180 lower (being able to accept standard AR mags would be acceptable), an AR-180 style folding stock, and AR-180 style handguard (the M-Lok can be an option).

Looks like an easy way to get an AR that you fire with a folded stock.

Price isn't insane but ya that's a hard pill to swallow.
I knew I would be waiting even if it was 600 though so no loss here. |
|
Hmm, I wonder how many parts can interchange with the AR180/180B series. That would be a plus.
Hell ya, another project to add. |

That is the main draw. And quite frankly, more market share than a retro version. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Looks like an easy way to get an AR that you fire with a folded stock. And quite frankly, more market share than a retro version. But I definitely like this idea for a pistol. AR-pistol with a pistol version of this upper or a 180-spec one, and an AR-15 lower or your lower, respectively, would be pretty sweet. Reliable (AR-18 s a proven system given its use in so many other designs), folding stock AR pistol that is fully functional with a folding stock (as an SBR) or brace (as a pistol), especialy if shaped to ensure unimpeded trigger access when folded, and compatible with modern furniture, optics mounts, etc. would be awesome. |
