Anyone seen or experimented with making a cargo board/shelf for the FILBE? The Alice has a very handy shelf you can buy, but the newer packs don’t seem to have anything.
Here’s what I have Attached File This is what gave me the idea: Attached File And what I’ve achieved with $8 Attached File Attached File I plan on getting some buckles and cleaning up the zip ties and the rest of the mounting tie downs. I wanted something that wasn’t permanent so I can throw the main pack back on the frame if need be. |
|
Hope y'all have space for another new hiker, I'm hoping to make it out there tomorrow morning.
|
|
I'll be with you guys in spirit and hiking up the Northfork of the Flathead to test out the range on my new radio and convert money into noise with my new Max-11/15.

You don't need a whole lot to secure the saw if you've got a friction strap around the handle and the scabbard secured. I carry a saw on a dirtbike around the my property using the same principle. |

I’m gonna sit this one out. I’ve been hoping my hip would have started feeling better before the weekend. But that’s not the case.
I’m old enough now to realize that discretion is the better part of valor. Twenty years ago I would just fo. I’m glad to see someone else stepped up to bring some sausages. I’m still looking forward to the swap meet on the 14th. Have fun tomorrow. Also I previously responded to the survey , so scratch 2 from your tally Whiskers. |

A radio freq ought to be designated pre-hike so anybody showing up after we stepoff can get in touch.

After having done my first hike with Troop 556 and my second with the Carolina Boogaloo Bois, this will be my third qualifying hike if I can make it. Depending on how the Trump rally in North Charleston goes down this evening, I may wind up being a late scratch. Just don’t see having enough time to make it to Virginia by 1100. Then again, the rally is first come-first serve and there have been folks in line camping out all night so I may not even be able to get in the rally. Only time will tell. View Quote |

It's been a week of long hours with class and the end of our first fiscal quarter at work. I've been on the edge of going but haven't wanted to commit since I'm not sure how I'll be feeling. Lock me down as a hard maybe.

Anything else need to be brought for afterwards?
Plates, trash bags? |

Not sure what’s going on up there but my ETA has changed from 10:10 to 10:47 over the last 8 minute of driving. Suggest folks heading NB check their route again.

Ok something nasty must have happened on 95. Passed "road closed" signs and Google says 35 extra minutes. As of now it says 1053 arrival but im not sure I believe that. The Hampton roads crew (and anyone else coming from South) might be late. Potentially significantly.
Is it too late to push the time back? ETA we found a work around. Back on track for 1030-1045 |
|
I really wanted to attend, but won’t be able to make it. We’ve been in the hospital all week with our 1 year old daughter.
Hope you all have a good time. |

95 NB is SHUT DOWN at exit 87.
Turn on waze and get off south of there I made it to exit 84 and am back to a 1020 arrival time. The back up is reaching there now though so anyone behind me might not get to that exit. |
