That’s the plan but depends on the damage

Are the motor casings steel?   I would caution you greatly to redo them in aluminum.    I mix my own propellant and have had some not work out well.   Aluminum splits where steel is a bomb with fragments.    High power rocketry forbids steel cases for that reason.

Thank you for the concern, these are essentially gyrojet clones meant to model after the original rockets, both used steel casings. According to all the models we have done with a large margin of error included , the tub material and end caps can handle thousands of PSI pressure above the maximum we are looking to aim for. Regardless we are going to be remote testing a batch of rockets using a spare barrel and done at a safe distance for added safety .

OP, FAR 11 looks to put you in the Type 2 rocket category since you're using steel casings.  How are you going to shield the shooter, or do you expect a complete burn of all rockets inside the tube?

If you're following the other rocketry thread, that came up.  You have to notify the FAA 24 hrs before launch.  Even if OP is firing the rockets horizontally, I haven't read of an exception for the notification requirement.

These are basically gyrojets and fall under the same category from my understanding, just requires a DD since it’s over 1/2 in bore. No requirement to notify FAS when firing gyrojets

It’s going to be fired remotely but it should be far enough away from the shooter to be safe, the barrels are really long

I think you're correct as long as you're not firing them on a ballistic arc.  I think the current FAA rocketry rules were written long after the Gyrojet went out of production.  Break a leg.

Why are they different sizes and some all cutup into odd shapes?  Seems that would make for inconsistent results, no?

They were sanded down to equal sizes and given either a 1/2 in core or a 3/8 inch core

Working on a video tomorrow but I was able to successfully test a 20mm rocket, the nozzle design works very well, the only issue we faced was igniter was not reliable so some modifications need to be made.

Maybe a little flash powder to help ignition. LAW rockets are ignited by a tube of flash powder initiated with a primer.

Using one as a single tube weapon system would still be pretty badass.

Yeah I have flash paper so I was going to give that a try, the original gyrojets used that so should have better results

That’s how I was directly able to confirm that it fully stabilized in flight without a slow motion camera, very happy with it, wish it was in higher resolution but that’s the best we can do with the gear on hand
