Did all the rockets launch at the same time or was there a (slight) delay built into the circuit to keep the rockets from interfering with each other on launch? Or was there just plenty of inconsistencies in the construction of the ematches and rocket motors that there was enough variability "built in" that it wasn't a concern?

That sort of thing could (in WWII) deny low-altitude flight to a lot of platforms.....and would probably mess up soft-skinned ground vehicles (not to mention giving the driver a heart attack).

I saw you on Reddit and briefly looked for this thiread to post it up.

Quoted: While this doesn't seem practical for shooting down planes, I could definately see it having other uses. The Germans certainly were innovative during that period View Quote They were also used for anti personnel tasks........ enemy troops in buildings and in light armored vehicles |

awesome! What will you be firing out of it? form1'ed or doesn't need to be?

The old panzerfaust threads are all archived, but I am sure most people following those are reading this. There is a panzerfaust scene in the new Dutch WW2 movie The Forgotten Battle on Netflix. A german soldier uses one on a T-34 at 12:30.

I’m sure there wasn’t a single rocket fired that went even remotely close to a plane IRL, but they’re fucking cool as shot

Super cool!!!!!!!! Now you just need a Zielgerät 1229 on a STG44 and Leibermuster camo for that Battle of Berlin look.

Quoted: APCP rocket fuel with gun cotton similar to how the gyrojets work, I'm even using slot nozzle style like the last generation of them View Quote |

Quoted: I guess you'll find out though trial and error. I wonder if that burns fast enough for short-range projectiles to get up to high velocity. View Quote From my research, it should work fine in regards to speed and thrust. The stabilization is all in the nozzle design which I selected the best of the gyrojet designs We shall see though when we test fire |

Quoted: Currently half way through the machining OPs for the rockets, should be done by next week. Going to try find an indoor range to fire the rockets, the weather in Oregon has been a mess, had to cancel photo shoot several times due to the heavy rain https://i.imgur.com/rCgePbx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hmIo9Ri.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ZmolbF5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/UsYqqRQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6k0Yuby.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BxqlcOd.jpg View Quote Never heard of indoor range and rockets used in the same sentence. Lol Have fun keep up the good work. |

View Quote Yeah, that sounds like a really good way to catch unburnt powder on fire & burn the place down. Has happened to a range close to me, & they weren't even firing rockets @ the time. |

Awesome stuff! The sight reminds me of the first version sight of the American M9 bazooka, though the German sight is much more sophisticated.

Quoted: Cool pic. I never seen or heard of them until Dragon released some 1/35 figure set in the 90s called Nachtjaeger. I was intrigued. The Luftfaust has nothing to do with night fighting but it got my interest. https://i.imgur.com/W0IY13y.jpg https://i.imgur.com/38u5ReK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ycPVSoj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jG5aKFA.jpg View Quote The only guy with a power-supply backpack is the only one without a Vampir scope on his StG. |
