I don't wear boots and utes but I do own a pair of woodland camo cargo shorts. Am I in violation? Perhaps OP could post a list of approved wardrobe items?
Oh wait, I forgot, I don't really give a shit. |

I'm not in anymore, but I still wear skivvy shirts to work cuz soffe. And silkies when I'm mowing the yard, gives all the old ladies on the block a heart attack
|

Piss off kindly.
There is a big difference from wearing "camo" and stealing valor. |
|
Wear what you want. Who gives a shit. I don't give a shit. I have better things to do when I'm out than to question people on what they wear or why or if they served.
If you do that...get a fucking life. |

What are we supposed to wear? Are there specific clothes non military guys are supposed to wear? What if a military guy wears those clothes? Is he a poser?

I served and I could care less if folks are wearing mil uniform camo stuff to hunt, to yard work or etc. now if they are rocking milticam or aor stuff with patches and badges and etc and are trying to insinuate service then I think that's BS. Somehow, I'm beginning to sense that this thread is not going exactly the way the OP envisioned.

Not sure if OP is referencing another thread and parodying that poster's viewpoints... or is just 'tarded. View Quote I never said that. I justed pointed out that wearing your skintight multicam combat shirt, multicam baseball cap w/IR flag and dog tags, when you aren't in the military, to an event where you plan to seek out the media makes you look tarded, or like a boot. There are places for camo. There are places for stretchy skin tight clothes. Then there are dudes in combat shirts looking for news interviews. Its all relative. |

Lighten up, Francis. A LOT of folks wear BDU's for hunting/work clothes and lots more use surplus gear for camping, etc., etc. I don't begrudge anyone enjoying their surplus woobies, boots, clothes and gear; it's good, cheap, stout stuff. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I went snowboarding in Gen 1 DCU Gore-Tex. I never served. I bought the stuff at Army Surplus because I needed cheap waterproof gear for Spring snowboarding. Sorry I ruined your day. I may go coyote hunting in multicam this year, too. If it's ok with you, I'm going to clean the garage in an old pair of black combat boots gifted to me. Maybe I should make a post ranting about non-physicians wearing scrubs. It took me 12 years of post high-school education to practice independently as a doctor, but anyone can go to the store and buy my uniform. Your screen name insinuates that you're also a doctor. I don't wear military uniform items because they don't make them "big and tall" enough to fit me

Uniform items are one thing. The whole uniform? Yeah. I might agree. |

Did my time and got out. I served proudly during the Desert Storm era. Not on the front lines like many of you high speed low drag operators. Back on a flight line working on planes. Am I a veteran? Technically, Yes. But no I do not feel that way. I earned the right to wear the BDU's. So if you do not like my attire then you can piss up a rope.
