THAT'S UNCLE BOB'S BOMB!!!!!!!!!!! You remember the story enough to tell it? TRG or Dave should remember it well. We heard ETH's same stories over and over and over again......And still laughed when he told the newbies who were at the farm the first time. |

I think about the man often. We should take a trip to Crowell and visit him. I haven't been there since Oct. '06.

I was only a lurker when he was here posting. I never met him, but from what I have seen him post
and from members here talking about him he was a good man. R.I.P. Wayne, I wish I had the oppurtunity to have met you |

One of my favorite debaters.
I was suppose to go the The Hun Farm and had to cancel. My loss. |

there was one time that I might have earned a permaban on AR15, but ETH helped me find my way back.
RIP Wayne! Post 9999 is well used here. |

Quoted: yep. i've got pictures of the cop standing around while we stripped the place but they're on another computer. this will have to suffice: http://i27.tinypic.com/2itilxh.jpg Was that the Sunday afternoon when the family showed up? Small Change and myself were off shooting at the pond and came back to where they had "blocked" the road in. We parked and walked up to find out what was going on and promptly turned around and took off...what a waste to the final day at the Hun Farm. |

He had like a million posts here, yet I don't remember ever reading any more than a few of them.
I think he hacked the site and set his post count at a trillion. |

Quoted: What happened with the family? Long story and others know more of it than I, but, ETH did not get on well with the rest of the family that lived in the area and they were not amused at us having a last hurrah in his name at the farm. Take that and throw in the local SO that doesn't fully comprehend class III guns and you've got a great afternoon... Wasn't it legs and Dpeacher that finally got things under control and calmed down? I don't really remember, like I said we hightailed it out of there before things got heated. |

I miss ETH. +1000000000 I owe him a margarita when I see him again. I loved how he used to introduce himself to women. "How'd ya like to be my new EX wife?" |

I don't know if our times here ever overlapped, I can't recall a post of his. If we did overlap, I was very new here then, and overwhelmed by this place. Took awhile for me to sort out who is who. |

I don't really remember, like I said we hightailed it out of there before things got heated. Yeah I was just leaving that day as the po-po showed up. I was on the Mud Road when I passed a Sheriff's deputy and thought "gee I wonder what he is doing way out here". Glad I left when I did, or else I probably wouldn't have made it home by Tuesday. It was a long ass drive, but it was well worth it. I regret not being able to venture down there earlier. |

What the heck - that's GREEN, not Windex blue!
I met Wayne a few times at the Gunstock events, and possibly another time or two at other events held at Tiger Valley (Waco). A gentleman, scholar, and accomplished story-teller. The only time I was at the Hun Farm was the last one in Oct. '06. I left Sunday Morning and met "The Family" at the gate as they were calling in reinforcements (I could not raise anyone at the cabin via cell phone, though I did try!). They looked like an unhappy bunch. An elderly woman was in the back seat of the large SUV (Suburban?) directing things. I think this was one of the aunts that ETH was at odds with. |
|
I would imagine that was a "top shelf margarita" rather than a "Windex". Either that or he had run out of blue curacao.

I think TRG and peacher were looking for that bomb the other day.

The gentlemen of ARFCOM remember him as a true hero.
I never got to know him, but I'll sure raise a beer to the man because of the great men he inspired. |

I met and chatted with Wayne both in via email/IM, and at the 1st BRC. He invited me to come down personally via phone. I never did get a chance to take him up on it.

Made two trips to the Farm and was amazed by the beauty of the place both times. One was the weekend of the Don R incident and the second was the Nite of the Snipe Hunt. Wayne made a 0 point landing off of the back of my truck but didn't spill a drop of his drink. I also made a trip in the red Jeep from Market Hall to Uncle Julio's one saturday during one of our lunch meetings. Laughed all the way there and back after watching him sneak a drink out in a to go cup. Miss the man and his stories.

We need to have another hun farm, same name in Honor of Wayne, just a different place.
