Twice

I used to do property restoration on foreclosed homes. Mow the lawn, etc…

Walked in to a place that felt very off. While taking pics of the interior I found a semi hidden closet with a dead bolt on it and a small sliding door in wall about the size of a dinner plate.

Second was when I was asked to photograph Diane Feinstein at one of her campaign rally’s. It wasn’t the place, it was her.

That's weird b/c the last time I was in a TK I would have tipped her $10 for refilling my iced tea and bringing me my food before it was stone cold.  No BJ in the bathroom or anything needed.

Even before tats were super popular the TK waitresses looked like Kat Von D's trashy meth head little sisters.

I did a service call to a tattoo parlor about 20 years ago to install their DSL internet. They had one of the filthiest songs I have ever heard playing overhead, F word every 10 seconds. I could literally feel an evil presence in that room, and it did not like me. I never felt like that before. I broke out in sweat and felt like I was burning up. And everything I was doing was not working. I even had a part literally break apart in my hands. I told them I would have to come back and scrammed out of there.

On the way back to the office I was a sobbing, crying mess. I was raised in a Christian family but had become an atheist in college. I did not want to admit it, but I was sure there was a demon in that room with me. I finally got myself together by the time I got to the office, but I told my manager I was never going back. I tried telling him why, but he was making it clear he thought I was overreacting. Finally I just flat out told him he could put a gun to my head, and I would still never go back there. He ended up going back and finishing it himself.

This thread is a month late! Also, LMAO at the people who said, "Las Vegas," in general. But I guess to each their own.

For me the one that stands out was a cenote in the jungles outside of Cancun. Just one in particular. It was creepy and felt bad before we all got in the water, but I just kind of shrugged it off. We were with a group and I didn't overthink it.

I freedive, so I brought my mask because I wanted to peak around underwater at them. Most have very clear water. I brushed the feeling of creepiness aside and dove under water. I didn't have fins, but I didn't have weights or anything and I'm a really strong swimmer who's pretty calm underwater having being held under many times by big waves in Hawaii and other places, shark encounters, etc., so the thought of anything happening in a small, calm body of water didn't even occur to me.

Almost immediately after starting to submerge  (maybe ~5 feet down) I hit an absolutely freezing thermocline. The kind of cold where your body immediately freezes up, and if you weren't underwater, you'd want to gasp for air. I turned back towards the surface.....but I couldn't swim up. It was like something was holding my shoulders and pulling me down. At this point I was mentally freaking out. I should have been moving back up easily, but I was still going down. I started to swim, really, really, hard (keep in mind I was only about 6 or 7 feet down) and made what seemed like snails' progress. I got my wife and told her we need to gtf out, now.

I've been around a few people that were evil, and many "entities" if you want to believe that or not, but that cenote is the only place where I felt evil held in a place. I always had heebie jeebie experiences in Sedona, but I wouldn't really call them evil perse, just icky. I could say that about some places in Northern Spain too. Weird vibes.

I taught at a self-contained school that dealt with "at-risk" students, high school students. Not only did I perpetually have the feeling that I was surrounded by evil (namely, about a third of the students), but we'd occasionally have to go to their homes and force them to come to school. These were referred to as child finds. I would say that 100% of the homes we were called out to felt evil.

There are stories about the kids I dealt with that I won't share with my wife.

Once.

A friend owns a pasture where two men were hung and burned in the 1880s.

They were cattle rustlers. The man responsible for the hangings was named Print (Prentice) Olive.

The Olives ran the largest ranch in the area at the time.

We were gathering cattle in the fall and when I rode by where it had happened I got a cold chill and a really weird feeling. My horse even sensed it but he may have just picked up on my body language.

If you're interested in the story check out the book "Ladder of Rivers" by Harry Chrisman.

Incidentally, my mom took care of Print's niece Nora Olive Handley in Mrs Handleys old age.

Yeah, I was stationed in Phoenix for my entire LE career but as a pilot, I spent a shit ton of time in Tucson covering those guys when they were busy or out of the office or whatever  and yeah, there’s a very odd feel about that town. Can’t put my finger on it and I never felt it was evil, just fucking dirty or something for a lack of a better description, but I hated going down there.  To the point that when we had a couple of openings down there for pilot slots, nobody in my division put in for it. It’s almost like people instinctually figured out somehow that place is fucked up and to avoid it.

If you dive, you know the feeling right when you get to negative buoyancy and you start descending? This was kind of like that, except about 20 times faster/stronger (I'm not negatively buoyant with a full breath of air in fresh water), and I felt like someone had hold of my shoulders and was pulling me down.

I lived in an old farm house for a short time in tech school that changed my views on the paranormal. I'm still skeptical of a lot of those claims, but now I really do think some of it is real.

There was an immediate "I should leave now" feeling the moment I'd step inside. It was really bad in one particular room, but it was present in the whole house. I wasn't the only one that felt it. I mentioned off-handedly to a friend that I thought the house might be haunted, and instead of laughing it off, he said he knew exactly what I meant and went on to describe the same things that I'd been keeping to myself. We asked a few other friends about it, and they all said the same thing.

The only other time I've felt that from a place was in Guam, on a path that cut through thick vegitation on the way to the beach. No idea what that was, but the gut don't lie. I just turned around and noped out of there.

There's one person that I've seen out in public that gave off evil vibes. I was riding along on a charter flight, and we had about 24 hours sitting around in Sacremento before we were supposed to leave, so I went bar hopping with some of the flight crew. The night ended at a gay bar, which wasn't what I was expecting at all, but I actually had a decent experience there. Definitely wasn't my crowd, but they seemed alright, except for one guy.

One face stuck out in the crowd. One guy that I wouldn't let out of my sight. He didn't look like he was there for drinks and being social. He looked like a pitbull at a toddler buffet. Like he wasn't looking to meet someone, he was looking for someone to add to his collection. No idea who he was, but his face is burned into my memory and it wouldn't shock me to see it in some serial killer documentary.

Grew up in an old farmhouse which was around during the Civil War, way out in the country and close by where Sherman rode through on their way to burn Atlanta.  As a young lad, would routinely find musket balls and other military remnants while exploring in the woods so I knew there were skirmishes in the area.

One night after dark I was walking down the dirt road to visit our neighbors which were about half a mile away.  Suddenly I was confronted with a bright yet semi transparent 6' tall humanoid figure standing in front of me about 15 feet away and it was threatening.  Like "you aint going no further MOFO" threatening.  It certainly felt evil.  Blinked my eyes because I didnt believe what I was seeing, and at the same time my big ass dog with me ran at it barking and growling getting between me and it.  It disappeared after a second or two.  Good dog!

Weird shit.  55 years have gone by and I've since always had a dog because I know they see and sense shit that we cannot sometimes.  Growing up hunting and shooting, its the only thing I've ever encountered that I knew I couldnt kill because it was not of this world

Once bought an old house. That place was wacked. My guard dog rottweiler would sometimes freak out big time and run out of the room, and cower like a big baby terrified in a corner. Happened many times and I never saw anything. Sometimes he would refuse to come inside also.
Another house I owned sometimes had a foul Sulphur / rotten egg smell that would suddenly appear and then soon disappear. Lots of wicked and bad happened there from past idiots.

A few years ago I was walking out of grocery store at night when some old Mexican lady came running in, screaming and scared out of her mind. As I got over the mild shock of the scene I saw what she was running from. Some skinny, shirtless, black guy with bright white eyes was running up towards her...now me

"YOU TOO MOTHER FUCKER" is what he yelled at me. I dropped my beer, literally the only thing I had, and threw the greatest lunging straight punch I'd ever thrown. I obliterated the dude. Hit him hit above the lip, and nose, and I fucking swear his head hit the ground before the rest of his body.

The manager, I think, came running up wanting to call the cops, "yeah that's a good idea" I said and grabbed my shit and walked off fast. "Hey! You've gotta write a statement." I kept walking and just yelled back, "No thanks. I think I did enough."

I thought this guy was some gang banger, but he was just a nutcase homeless dude with hate in his eyes...and probably drugs

I've had several experiences. One was in 2005. I had rented a house built about 1969. 2 bedroom 2 bath home. My jack russell would not go in the guest bedroom but would look at it from the living room and growl. One day I was getting ready for work [I was an LEO] and was in the master bath shaving. I saw what looked like a person walk by the doorway. I grabbed my service weapon and cleared the house and did not find anything.
A few months later about 3 am, my son, who was in elementary school and slept in the guest room, came into our bedroom crying. He said the old lady had scratched his back. He had scratch marks running down his back from between his shoulder blades to just above his waist. He slept on the couch in the living room until we moved out shortly there after.

Yep.

Sometime in May of 2006, so still in Katrina rebuilding time, I responded with a bunch of other officers to a call of an attempted kidnapping at a mansion on St. Charles Ave.  It was May in New Orleans, so it was pretty hot.  Anyway, on arrival the husband and 2 adult sons met us out front babbling about how a totally black man, like, not an African American, but a solid black man in black clothes with black eyes, totally black, had tried to kidnap the wife/mother, and they had secured her in a stairwell.  We assumed we were dealing with some weird crazy family BS, but cleared the house anyway.  The 1st floor felt....off.  Dunno, just nothing seemed right.  We found the wife, as advertised, in a stairwell, a stairwell with locked doors that locked from the outside, and that was filled, like stacked in piles against the walls, with valuable looking paintings, along with the terrified wife.  The 2nd floor was also creepy, and was at about 33 degrees Fahrenheit.  The 3rd floor......I cannot explain it, but I really and truly felt like something evil was there.  It consisted of about half a dozen small bedrooms, all with TVs in them, all on to a bright blue screen.  There was also a large bedroom at the end of the floor, which had been tied shut from the outside with an orange heavy duty extension cord.  The husband, who was with us at that point, began screaming at us and demanding that we not go in there, with fear in his voice.  We were the police, and that was fishy as all get out, so we untied the cord and went in anyway while he ran back downstairs.  There was nothing in there but a big empty bed, another TV, on with a blank blue screen, and a sense of wrongness.

After clearing the interior, those of us in there met the folks who'd stayed outside at the rear of the house by the pool filter, where, I kid you not, it felt like it was maybe 45 or so degrees, outside, in New Orleans, in May.  We concluded there was nothing illegal we could detect, no evidence of crime, and no reason to take any action, but one of the perimeter officers looked at all the rest of us and said something like "there's a portal to Hell in this house."  The sergeant on scene said he agreed, and we left.

That account is abbreviated a bit for, I hope, clarity, but it is true, and it happened to me.  And I have never had such a sensation of evil at any other point in my life.  And P.S., I'm an athiest.
