Broderick couldn't sing if he had a bayonet to his back. Preston owned that role. Shirley Jones was SMOKIN hot when they filmed that. |

Hope my Man Card is not in jeopardy, but really enjoy Camelot and Man of La Mancha (Sophia Loren had a great rack ).

I'm an old fart.
I like Phantom of the Opera, and believe it or not, The Sound of Music. The Music Man is pretty good also. |

ARFcomers that like show tunes. Hmmmmm...what could that mean?

Love the classics. West Side Story, Rogers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Lowe...

My dad tried to force it on my sister and I way too young and I think that's why I dislike most of them. Although I admit some like Le Mis in London were pretty good.

i was 37 when i saw singing in the rain for the first time. i don't think i could have appreciated it when i was younger. those guys were amazing. not just the singing but all the dancing and moves they had. the shape those guys would have had to be in to do that stuff in one take just boggles the mind. so few entertainers now posses that kind of talent. kind of a bummer.

Chicago I saw it on Broadway in 2004 ..paige davis in the lead role ..lots of long legged women in black hose/heels...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrrz54UtkCc That movie sucked compared to the original non-musical Roxie Hart movie starring Ginger Rogers. As far as modern musicals/operas, I like Repo and Les Miserables. I haven't seen the film version, but the 25th anniversary special edition of Phantom of the Opera is awesome! |
