Today my son found a mask behind the couch. He instantly tried to wear it as a banana hammock. I laughed. The mask he found was from when the school demanded he wear one just to be evaluated for his IEP. Shoving a mask on an autistic kids face. I tried once and said “eh. He tried to wear it. Let’s get on with the eval.” Fuck the Covid bullshit. |

Yep, I was working PACU primarily during 2020. When we were shut down to elective cases I guarded doors and checked temperatures, and generally did whatever I could to earn a buck. I cross-trained to help in the ER, but they had their lowest volumes ever and didn't need me. When I was giving Covid vaccines for easy OT in early 21 (something of which I am now ashamed, though I made sure to confirm informed consent) a nurse from another department said "[SARS] will do anything for money." I made sure to clarify that it had to be ethical and ideally legal.  A lot of the tik tok videos and the like came out of procedural areas where there was no work to be done, yet early in the pandemic admin was reluctant to let us just stay home. |

Communication with a face diaper is impossible. I asked “what” several times and still couldn’t understand people. I eventually decided I didn’t need to communicate with said individuals and went on my way. I will only comply when it is my doctors policy and they are enforcing it. I can not doctor shop because of my injuries and the time it takes to find great doctors. I’ve seen more of those signs showing up in places recently I didn’t ever give it any thought as to what is going on. But elections are coming. I survived not getting sick by not wearing a mask, I do not go out in public and loiter like most of the fools do who get sick frequently. Wear a mask how about I wear piece of window screen with elastic bands stapled to it? I can wear my Turkey hunting face mask it’s netting with camouflage. ?? |

Just saw on FOX NEWS that certain organizations will maybe try to start the mandates over again because of new variants covid that only 6 people in 3 or 4 countries have caught commentator on FOX hinted it's because of the 2024 elections if done to restrict movements again. WHO is promoting new possible lock downs. Several universities are requiring masks again plus that you be up-to-date on your shots that does not work in any way. WHO can

They went bankrupt 4 months later anyway. That despite the $24 million they received from the state/feds and never shared with the docs and nurses and support staff. Then they were surprised that most of the 50% that were laid off decided not to come back and left the medical field or found better jobs within it. |

Our ER/urgent care volumes are WAY up....because of people wanting a COVID test. It's the gateway to a paid week's vacation. School teachers are the worst. We're seeing them constantly. So all of these probably COVID positive people (who have the sniffles at worst) are flooding the waiting rooms of ERs and urgent cares, and mixing with the (previously) non-positive patients. These new patients are now infected, and they return 2-3 days later for their test. A "Covid wave" is born and we all have to mask again....ALL of these new strains are weak little bitches compared to the "legacy" Covid and delta. I don't even want to give work notes for "Eris" because we're all working with it...it's no big deal. PS- to the people saying that ERs were empty during the original wave...you're correct. The sight of blue, dead people coming through every hour or two kept people out of the lobby, but I assure you that we were VERY busy in the back. |

Only one case sick enough to admit, not requiring ICU admission though. Thus far, it's more like cold season, less like the end of the world. Hard pass on mandating masks. |

there will be violence this time around. so many businesses were torn apart due to this bullshit. so many families negatively impacted due to politics dictating visitation in hospitals for things as simple as a baby delivery. they are fucking lucky my daughter was born jan 2020 not middle or late 2020 as theres no fucking way i wouldnt be present for that event mask up if you like, but one will never go on my face again. |

I told them “I don’t care if you wear a mask or not.” If the docs took off their mask too, some patients would rat them out to administration and they would get a talking to, Lol. You don’t know who you can trust so you wore the mask. |

Those of us that do were told by the Supreme Court that we have to follow mandates by the hospital. We are second class I’ll wear their gay masks but I’m not getting any more boosters as they don’t work at preventing infection or reducing the severity of disease. Yes, that means I would be fired. I’ll go work at Walmart, Lol. |
