The father of the Stanford University swimmer convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman is coming under fire on blogs and social media for playing down the attack as “20 minutes of action” during a public statement at the swimmer’s sentencing on Sunday.
Judge Aaron Persky, who sentenced Brock Allen Turner to a six-month prison sentence, is also getting some heat after Persky said “jail would have a severe impact on” Turner. Turner, 20, was found by two students on top of an unconscious woman by a dumpster in January 2015. Prosecutors said Turner met the woman at a party and sexually assaulted her after she passed out from intoxication. Police officers said the woman was unresponsive and partially clothed. Turner faced up to 14 years in prison, a sentence his father, Dan Turner, argued against. “That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years of life,” Dan said at his son’s sentencing hearing. Fucks be upon the judge, dad, and perp.
Fucker should have gotten the full 14 years. |
|
Leaving absolutely no doubt as to why the son is a piece of shit.
|
|
Judge is a former Stanford swimmer. I'm sure that had NOTHING to do with the lenient sentence.
|
|
Fucked up case for sure, and given the father's attitude, it's pretty easy to see why the son didn't have any moral compass. Judge really botched that sentence, at least in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the money (if she gets any) can't fix what was broken. That experience will influence future interactions with men, future relationships, possibly even her marriage down the line. It will always be something she has to contend with. It may even influence her experience with childbirth, assuming she ever has children. No amount of money can make that any easier or ease that pain. No amount of money can give her back what she's lost or help her regain her sense of self and dignity. Those 20 minutes changed the course of two lives, but only one person had a choice in that change. |

I was trying to quote Naamah but in re;
Well said, I hope she can at least have her education covered and get some solid therapy. Lets all hope she doesn't let this dictate her life. |

This being Stanford, not much will be said. |

Honestly, words can't even begin to describe how fucked up all three of them are.

Judge and Dad under fire? More like "should be lit on fire".
Pieces of shit all around. |

kid from an affluent family named Brock goes off to Stanford and rapes a girl, receives questionable sentence and his dad is pissed....Lol

they should give the dad, the judge and the kid 10 years each for that bullshit.

I am fine with the 6 months in jail from the evidence I have heard. People are too quick to jump to conclusions. As someone who was in college and went to parties where women got shit faced and horny men made bad decisions, I saw similar type situation a couple of times. Was it rape or consent? It depends on if the woman got what she wanted. Look at the Duke Lacrosse rape case back in 2007 time frame. Those were some lying ass bitches that filed false claims and ruined the Lacrosse players lives. Same thing happened at Oklahoma State with Darren Williams. He was found guilty even though he still denies involvement. She picked him out of a lineup even though she openly said she never saw his face. It ruined his basketball career. He has since had the charges reduced and his record almost cleared. It was a bullshit case that lacked evidence. My point is the case isn't always so cut and dry. She probably did give consent when she was drunk. Was it a smart move by him? No! But does he deserve to be labeled a rapist from a drunken night in college? I don't think so.

Which was the cbs nightly news and a small article about it earlier. I still stand by my comments about rape in college. As someone that has been accused by a girl that I raped her after I chose not to date her. She told her friends I raped her, they confronted me about it. I stood my ground and saved all my evidence with backups. Her friends later apologized and she admitted to lying. So yes, I have been on the other side of it. |
