| Their site, their rules. Not sure all of the ramifications of photo hosting, but looks like that was the lead issue here. (how long will photos be available, will photos become property of the forum and non-deletable. It is nice to sever the cord from photo bucket without going to a platinum membership. Not sure how the new photo size will effect downloads in margin cell areas. |

It is slower, less info is captured, and it takes more button presses to get to most of the features. Old format was more modern. |

Yeah, they ain't going back. Websites and operating systems are now engineered for mobile devices to automatically adjust for the size of the screen you are viewing on plus whatever other features they need to account for.
And yes it sucks. It'll be something we get used to... Don't like the fewer number of Newest Topics that appear. |
| Maybe the site would be better if I used the mobile site but I use a desktop and everything just flat out looks stupid. Now the site is slower to load and slower to navigate. I'd much prefer the old forum bar across the top to quickly jump around the site I'm not a fan of the pulldown menus. |

It doesn't even allow you to scroll sideways to view the info on the right side of the screen without turning my phone sideways. So much fail development wise. |

15.6" laptop at 1366x768 resolution. The poll took up 80% of my screen. The avatars/usernames on the left column take up over 20% of the screen. There's a whole load of dead space. Only one post fits on the screen. I don't see the instant linking to Twitter or Amazon being all that useful. And it's slow.
I don't see what's better about it. Maybe I need to get an iPad or a desktop with a 30" monitor to appreciate it. |

I don't care. The new one could be pretty awesome if they clean it up a bit.
Post content should begin at the top of the user's segment, like at the same level as their avatar, not after a yuge white space. Scale some other things down. For example, "Post Editor" up top as I type this does not need to be in such a massive font, or even there at all really. |

I voted NO and here's why.
I so some development when I'm not doing networking stuff and have found over the years that the only true path is forward. It sounds cruel and indifferent but sometimes you have to drag the users along kicking and screaming. People do NOT like change even if 87% of the change is positive. They will always dwell on the 13% they don't like. Developers know this. I have already found lots of new things I like about the new site in the past 30 minutes of using it. I have found some things I don't like (the drop down menu system). Overall the changes are tipping towards the positive for me. Remember, developers like constructive criticism and actionable data. Just saying "This all sucks donkey dick" doesn't give them direction for improvement. So for my constructive criticism: I like the new default font. It works well on a 28" 4K monitor with the browser set at 100% instead of 125 or 150 to make it legible. I stay within a very small subset of forums. Like 4-5 generally. How about an option to mark a forum as favorite (and this feature may already exist and I haven't found it yet) and have that as a separate pull down perhaps colored red or similar bright color. For instance, have a drop down that would show the options GD, TEAM, HAM RADIO, SURVIVAL, GLOCK so I can cut out clicks and not have to hover the dropdown, click OUTDOOR, then click HAM RADIO. It would be hover the new favorites dropdown, click HAM RADIO. Don;t get me wrong, the new drop down system is perfectly usable once I get used to it. I just like 99.87% efficiency. Now off to see if something like this already exists. |
