I watched this show religiously in seasons 2, 3, and 4. Nominate your favorite episodes based on: 1) Music/soundtrack (Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms was great) 2) Guest actors / evil villains 3) Guns/babes/cars |

The episode with the IPSC shooter as a hitman was awesome
I think it was Caldorones Return or something like that |
The episode where willie nelson played an old retired texas ranger out to avenge his partner and crocket and tubbs are torn because the guy is basicaly a vigilante and they have to uphold the law.

Episode 1 season 1
Lights go out in the court room, in the dark you hear the Judge, "one move and your history buster" Lights come on Judge, has a shotgun, court reporter 44mag prosecutor has a 1911ish gun, cop has a .38, all pointed at the prep. Judge says "Not exactly a high water mark for are physical plant, but never the less a glowing testament to are constitutional right to bear arms" Whole court room bust out in laughter |

My favorite is the one(s) (it was a double episode) was where that dude was gogin to be executed for killing Crockett's old partner ande Crockett had second thoughts about his guilt and got him released from prison and the guy says "By the crockett i did enjoy killing your partner!"(Can't be re convicted due to double jeopardy)
The second episode where Crockett finds out where this guys private island is and goes there on his speedboat and walks up to the guy in his lawn chair and draws his Bren Ten aims it at the guys head..the guys says "C'mon Crockett, you aren't gogin to shoot me...You're not the type." and Crockett looks to the side and then back and shoots the guy in head with his 10MM. and walks away back to his boat. |

Pilot episode So much better than any of the crap on tv back then.
I don't know about favorite episode, but my favorite line was, "Maybe you won't even twitch."

+1 That rocked |
The smuggler's blues episode. Glenn Frye was the smuggler pilot in that one.
Didn't watch too many, but I saw the ending part of "Out where buses don't run" several times.
and this one too
Liked the ending. |
1) Second season premier: "Prodical Son" 2) "Out where the busses don't run" (The Dire Straits "Brother's in Arms" music) 3) "Definately Miami" with The 'Nuge. 4) "El Viajo" With Willie Nelson. 5) "Phil the Schill" with Phil Collins. The first two seasons were great. It started to slip after that. When Michael Mann left, the show died... |
The Pilot is the best... that scene still gives me chills like it was yesterday. Mann is the greatest director of all time. |
That's not Obama....That's CALDERON! |

This One? |

The episode I've always remembered is the one where the beautiful blond by the pool pores Perrier water all over her t-shirt and then puts it on. It's called "Definitely Miami". This episode also stars Ted Nugent.

The episode where Crockett's old friend with a death wish was undercover as a gun dealer and gets shot in the end
The episode where Crockett and Tubbs chase a fugitive into the swamps and shut down a marijuana smuggling operation, where Crockett rescues a man'd daughter who was being held hostage. |
I'm a die hard Miami Vice fan.
The episodes I like the most are the ones in which Mann was kind of "fleshing out" ideas that he would later use in his feature films. Like the serial wacko in the episode "Shadow in the Dark" was kind of a pass at "Manhunter" and "The Home Invaders" had several flavors from "Heat" in it. If I had to list, my three favorite episodes in no particular order are: Red Tape Lend Me An Ear Bushido |
This ETA: Little Miss Dangerous ! |
Nope, I think that was the one with Willie Nelson and it was my favorite one. |
Christ.........that draw of his was fucking fast!!! I remember me and my dad watching that and both of us saying 'holy shit'. |
Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive " as soundtrack |
"What am I going to tell Lorain!?!?" |
The one where they went into the swamps of the everglades. The last scene has a bad guy holding a little girl with a gun to her head. Bad guy says "You shoot me and she's dead." Sonny says "Not if I hit you just right." I love that line.

Evan
I thought it was a great episode and I've seen them all (I have the whole series on DVD ) |
Willie Nelson episode. He played a washed up Texas Ranger right?
Smuggler's Blues episode was pretty good - things got a little hairy down south when they tried to leave, and trudy ended up being strapped to a bomb in a trailer in the end.
"The Hit List" Jim Zubiena's "Mozambique Drill" www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q2Il86-38A |
yup. although that one has a few parts snipped here and there. |

Never saw a Miami Vice until The one with Willie Nelson, never missed one after.
+1 for the pilot episode. The cinematography in that episode is very similar to that of Collateral and Heat. Definitely some of Michael Mann's best work (Of course, it is quite possible that the music helped a lot)!!!

Evan hands down, then Bushido, to me the best tv show ever. i agree that when micheal mann left it went downhill
The one where the hitman doubletaps the chump with the J-frame. He had shooting glasses and everything and a SPAS12 guage or whatever it was. AR15.com epic! Blew up a limo too.
I nominate that one too! |
