Amazon released their 8 episode MotoGP about last season (...a week into the 2022 season, because...). Haven't seen anything but the trailer so far.
Attached File Failed To Load Product Data edit: looks like they're missing the 1st episode (just the old trailer) for the standard HD version (is up for 4K version) and there's people complaining about the dubbing over the riders instead of subtitles that's a "technical" issue.. What a shitshow |

Can’t wait to see it. |

Currently at 1 star or something.
Haven't watched any of it yet, 'cause I don't want to hear some cheap voice actors. Amazon could fuck up a free lunch. |
|
Well they added the first one and un-fucked the audio for standard HD, not sure about 4k one.
I'm only about 15 mins in so far. |
|
I keep hearing it's unwatchable with the dub. I haven't seen it yet .

Got through 2 episodes. I thought the first one was bad, definitely not geared towards people who are reading this thread. 2nd one is more what I was expecting and a decent watch. And holy shit they use audio from Wilson's Motoweek podcast in the second episode. He's made it to the big time. I thought he was joking when he said Dorna and manufacturers were listening.
Anyways, I'll finish them out eventually. |

Totally worth it to get up and watch the quals - Q1 was incredible.

So Jack Miller complaining about someone else faster than him ..
What is the saying... if you run into an asshole in the morning.. you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day.. you're the asshole Miller seems to run into assholes all day |

How about Darrin Binder! The blind rhino shows them what he’s got in the wet. Did you see the look he gave his brother when he barged past him?
|

I'm still recovering from lack of sleep. Not sure it was such a good idea to build a track where the surface gets so hot you have to shorten the race for lower class and do last minute tire replacements after testing because of exploding tires - or the monsoons that make you stay up all damn night to watch 40 get a top ten. Fucking worthless rain shaman they (no shit) used.
There will be at least one rider to complain about 40 each round - Simon was kinda saying the same thing during FP2 about coming straight from moto3. Gardner last round now 23: https://www.gpone.com/en/2022/03/21/motogp/bastianini-overtaking-darryn-binder-is-risky-he-made-me-go-wide-at-turn-2.html That 93 crash - no words. If the other riders have a problem with Binder then shouldn’t end up behind him. He’s not doing anything I haven’t seen other, more experienced, riders have done. Mir has been a hazard on the track and 93 has ridden people right off the track, Rossi included. 40 is just any easy target to blame for their own lack of performance. Fuck them.
|
|
I actually said something similar to a buddy after race 1. But now I'm starting to wonder if 40 is another one of those "if everyone you run into is an asshole" things...

Time to hang up his leathers sorry to say:
“The neuro-ophthalmological evaluation carried out on Marc Marquez on Monday after the head injury that occurred at the Indonesian Grand Prix, shows a new episode of diplopia caused by a recurrence of paralysis of the fourth right nerve, with less involvement than the one that occurred in the injury in November 2021. After this examination, it was initially decided to follow a conservative treatment with periodic medical tests. Next week, Marc Márquez will undergo a new check-up to evaluate the evolution of the injury and to predict the estimated recovery period to return to competition.” View Quote https://motogp.hondaracingcorporation.com/report/marc-marquez-diagnosed-with-a-new-episode-of-diplopia-upon-his-arrival-in-spain/ |

That was my fear and my prediction for Marquez, that he would be seriously hurt again. His body is so damaged at this point, he needs to retire while he can still lead a normal life after MotoGP.
It's funny that in press conferences he's now the old statesman. |
|
I finished the series on Amazon Sunday. I definitely enjoyed it.
Bummer for Marquez. That crash was brutal. |
|
He's a talented rider, but a fucking asshole that endangered many others life work with a roll of the dice. It finally caught up to him. I'm glad.

That was a bad wreck that could have been horrific if there was another rider nearby. |

Yep. 93 is pretty much used up at this point. If he does return, he’ll never achieve his old glory.

93 to miss next round to no one's surprise:

Marquez set for Austin return as Espargaro plots revenge Marc Marquez will return to the MotoGP World Championship in Austin aboard his Repsol Honda Team RC213V after consultation and clearance from his medical team. Doctors have cleared Marc Marquez for a return to Grand Prix competition after his fall in Warm Up at the Indonesian GP and subsequent diplopia diagnosis. The Repsol Honda Team rider has completed his conservative treatment plan and is ready to return to action at Round 4, the Grand Prix of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Before heading for the US, he confirmed his feelings and vision on a CBR600RR around the Alcarras circuit. Marquez’s record around the Texan circuit speaks for itself, having only missed victory on one occasion when he crashed while comfortably leading in 2019. Even with his historic speed at the track, Marquez is not chasing immediate glory and is aiming to spend the weekend getting back up to speed with the Repsol Honda Team RC213V and continuing to build his feeling and speed on the new machine. Pol Espargaro arrives in the United States of America with a point to prove after crashing out while chasing a podium in Argentina. Despite a mixed Saturday, Espargaro and his crew put everything in place to produce a strong race that showed more of the potential of the rider and the bike before the fall. In 2021, Espargaro finished tenth in Texas on the RC213V – his fourth top ten at the American circuit. Aleix Espargaro sits atop the MotoGP World Championship with just 45 points after three races, Pol Espargaro is only 25 points back and despite missing two races, Marquez is 34 points from the top spot. With 18 races still left to run, and a potential of 450 points, it is still very much anyone’s championship. Action at the 5.5-kilometer-long circuit commences at 09:55 Local Time on Friday, April 08. A unique schedule for the weekend will see the MotoGP race, running over 20 laps, start at 13:00 Local Time just before the Moto3 race which will conclude the day. I'm replying to this thread from page 1 and I haven't seen the race. It has yet to show up on Video Pass. Can someone IM me and without giving away the story, tell me what is going on with the MotoGP race? I've watched Moto2 and Moto3 and the commentators mentioned the MotoGP race so I assume it's been run.
Can any one catch me up without spoiling the race? |
