This is why the 2nd amendment exists. It's like parenting. If spoiled brat politicians don't get a solid whippin', they'll keep doing the same crap.

I'm a patient parent, but my patience runs out eventually if my boys keep it up...and then they get spanked.

Representatives should be afraid to suggest stupid, unconstitutional laws. They SHOULD be afraid...

Exactly. New Zealand while tragic, really has no effect on our gun situation here at all, and most Americans never even heard about that attack happening. There could be 10 shootings in Australia and new Zealand everyday, and their gov could be using Nazi level methods of kicking in doors and seizing guns and it would make no difference here. Austrailia and new Zealand have always been liberals gold standard for gun control, a mass shooting in those countries makes them look bad, and their position on gun control look weak and pathetic. Some of them will try to use it as a talking point, but for the most part it will be dropped. they are however running with the right wing racist white guy thing thought, and demanding more restrictions on free speech over it, and more restrictions on social media over it. you might as well expect conservatives to be HEAVILY targeted / restricted online in the run up to the 2020 elections. its definitely coming, and facebook, google, etc are sharpening their knives / algorithms in anticipation of stomping on your hateful white male asses and conservative values.

Now a white guy mass shooting muslims in America?   Yeah, that might get some serious traction. Ironically, one of the the new Zealand shooters main goals was new gun bans in America resulting in conservatives getting pissed off, but he did a mass shooting in a country OTHER than the united states.  Had he brought his ass to america to do that shooting in a muslim filled mosque in the united states, he well might have succeeded in his goal of new antigun laws and unrest. The same shooting in new Zealand? Yeah, that's not effecting americans gun rights at all.

liberals ( and politicians in general )  love brown people and muslims in general 100x more than kinder gardeners, and a mass shooting of their favorite brown people could easily be met with new gun laws. There are SHITLOADS of crazy assed radical liberals, socialists, and democrats who would happily go on a shooting rampage and sacrifice their lives in the process if they thought it would get another gun ban passed, hell its already happened IMHO. I think the vegas shooter was possibly in it for a new gun ban, considering the weapons and numbers of weapons used. I expect another big shooting to happen at anytime, using the next weapons they want banned. ( super small, concealiable 80% AR15 pistols, with collapsible braces / magpul d60 drums / binary trigger, and home made suppressors ).

It's fucking my wallet right in the ass.

Wolf Gold for $249 shipped too.

My 9mm 147gr Speer was $189 shipped, $169 after rebate.

Do NOT get Prime or you're toast.

I did 1,000 of that 147 too. My PTR 9C loves it. I'll load a half a mag of the 147 and a half a mag of 115 or 124 and the difference is amazing. Approximates suppressed. I forgot about the rebate. Just saw it less than $10 a box and fo'd.
Also grabbed a bunch of Gold Dot 124+p while we can still find 50ct boxes.

I have been toying with the idea of starting to reload. One of my coworkers knew that and told me her dad was getting rid of some powder and asked would I take it off his hands.

Just picked it up and apparently he gave me 20 lbs of IMR 4064. Is that a lot? As far as I can tell a Dillon 650 is good to go, right? Where do I go from here?

That amount of powder will load about 5800 55gr .223 rounds and about 3000 150gr .308 rounds.
So your doing ok so far. If you want to load more buy more.

A successful hunter-gatherer mission at the LGS this morning.  Two cases of Federal XM193 for the ammo fort, a case of Federal AE223 for the range ammo fort, a case of CCI Blazer Brass 115gr 9mm, and I never leave without adding more pmags.  I'd have gotten more of the Blazer Brass but that was the last case.

Moar ammo, must have moar!

Hell I’m tempted to buy the bushy xm15 trade-in for $600 just for the eotech 511. I imagine most of the cost could be recouped selling just the rifle locally.

I also upgraded my home computer. My 7 year old laptop was failing badly. I traded some gun stuff to my brother last deer season, and in return he paid my other brother $1000.00 to build me a new computer. They delivered it yesterday from alabama, and got it all set up. SUPER nice having a awesome computer again. He tool my old laptop back home and will repair everything that's wrong with it. I plan to use the old laptop out in my concrete gun room / mancave when I get it built in the next year or two, for accessing the internet, ham radio stuff, watching how to videos, etc.

FINALLY able to get away to my LGS and snag a few k of Small Rifle Primers

I’m no super reloader but I’ve never had problems with Federal primers but, my goodness, I almost plunkered down the extra $6 a box for the CCI/Winchester because of the sheer size of the Federal boxes
I’ll find a spot for’em, though

Why?
Because the enemy sees it as a model.

I drove home listening to NPR as it is a useful window into their worldview and you could practically scrape the warm glowing tones of approval for Jacinta off the microphone.

Bought more Norma 223 and sub 9mm. Currently at 3500 for the year now for 9mm. Bought a total of 1160 of the Norma ammo. My local sportsman’s has been wiped out of a lot of range ammo. They were also commenting on how busy it’s been lately. Still lots of 40 on the shelves, though.

@buck19delta

I agree with the last part of your post.

Too much to be just a coincidence with these things. They always seem to happen while there is nothing else really going on. Call me a tin foil hat guy, but I truly think some/most of these shootings aren't just 1 guy going nuts. There's more to it. Either the .gov is involved or some other group.

That was a good deal with MOE stock and EPT.

I have noticed that some of the best deals sometimes are not on "daily deals." There are a ton of mag packages not on the front page. And always something CHF.
